Homey Pro 2023 and Heatit z-trm3 connection problem

I recently bought a Homey Pro 2023 to control 3x Heatit z-trm3 floor heating thermostats, but I’m unable to connect with any of them.

I suspect a bad homey unit, but thought I should check here for advice before starting a RMA.

My first problem with the Homey occurred during setup. It refused to connect with the 5 GHz network. Homey complained about bad username/password even if I’m 100% sure it was correct. After opting for 2.4GHz the setup went fine. Homey is also updated to latest firmware.

I have followed all tips regarding Heatit connection procedure: Tested with all 3x thermostats, reset thermostats a numer of times, tried with a variety of ranges to the Homey unit from 0 cm to a few meters.

Regardless what I do Homey will not see a single unit and the Heatits shows Err after some time. (After selecting «Con» and watching the spinning circle for a while.)

Unfortunately I have no other z-wave units to test with. No zigbee units either for that matter.

Anybody got any ideas?

I can’t give you a hint to your problem, because I don’t have any Z-TRM3 thermostats in use myself, but it would be useful if you could tell which error it’s exactly.
If your Homey or the Z-Wave unit is indeed broken, then it doesn’t matter if e.g. Zigbee devices could be paired.

My recommendation is that you describe your problem in this thread. In this thread there are Heatit Controls staff active and they can probably help you.

Thanks. I will try that.
