Homey Pro 2019 fails multiple time per week

Homey Pro (Early 2019) Issues

For several years, my Homey Pro operated perfectly, but recently I’ve experienced frequent “hangs,” occurring multiple times each week.

I have a variety of products integrated, including Philips Hue lights, KlikaanklikUit devices, Zigbee sensors, switches, dimmers, LED drivers, Z-Wave Fibaro power plugs, sensors, and smoke detectors. Unfortunately, random functions stop working at least once a week, and sometimes up to three times a week.

It seems that one of the apps or functions intermittently fails. For example, when I try to switch off all lights, only the Hue lamps may turn off while the KlikaanklikUit devices remain unresponsive, or vice versa. When checking the app status, everything appears normal with no errors reported.

Additionally, there have been instances where Homey becomes unresponsive in the app and is unreachable via Wi-Fi, yet a wall switch that sends a command to Homey still works. This suggests that the Wi-Fi functionality may be failing intermittently.

I suspect these issues began approximately 6-8 months ago, and I’m unsure if they correlate with firmware updates; my Homey is always on the latest version (12.4.0).

Steps Taken to Resolve the Issues:

  • The Homey is set to reset every night through a flow. This was initially done to address a separate issue involving photo transmission from my security camera, which stopped after a few successful images were sent, but the reset did resolve that problem.
  • I have replaced the power adapter.
  • I performed a complete software restoration and backup (factory reset and reinstallation as if it were a new unit).

I urgently need to restore my Homey to a reliable working condition, as my family is becoming frustrated with the ongoing “project,” and the WAF (Wife Acceptance Factor) is rapidly declining.
