Homey Energy | Megathread

I also have a water meter but time frames are not the same as the homewizzard app

So 14:00 hour the homey app say I used water but the homewizzard app say no water
Also the same with gas
Used water but around 1500

@Guus_Dupon , So these are Zigbee Devices. Apparently not reliable for as I can read when it comes to Power Measurement for now. Please read here: INNR SP240 smart plug - #48 by Daron

Are they all on the same FW?

I have a device with meter_gas capability. But the cumulative setting ist not available in device settings. So if the device is set to cumulative in driver definition, it could work. But it’s not possible to set the cumulative flag for these devices like it’s possible for energy devices.
Perhaps the dynamic device settings for cumualtive devices were not added to the app yet?

In that case, the App may need an update. Which App are we referring to?

Nope. Thats not the problem. There are different firmware’s but the one that is showing is the same as two others and they are not showing

Android 9.1.0.1639 - And WebApp, too

A that sucks. I bought those to get rid of the tuya smart plugs from the action and now i have this shit wifh cost way more and still do not do what they need to do.

@Guus_Dupon Isn’t there an INNR app? Normally you could use that to update your FW. I don’t have INNR’s anymore since they omitted Power Measurement as from the 210 series. That’s why I moved to Fibaro Z-Wave, Shelly plugs and a lot of EVE (Matter). No issues there although I must admit I have a couple of Tuya (WiFi) for outdoor use.

Sorry, I meant: Which Homey App is the device you mentioned added through?

@Doekse
Virtual device (homey:app:com.arjankranenburg.virtual:virtual_switch)… And PowerByTheHour

I think all devices with meter_gas and meter_water should show the cumulative settings like it’s done for meter_power.

INNR SP240 plugs do show up in the ‘bulk users’ section. It takes some time though. I assume they need to cross a certain threshold of energy usage, before they show up. But I assume that this is the same for all plugs/energy measuring devices, regardless of the brand.

As a double check: the energy metering function is working on your SP240 plugs? So if you open the device tile of such a plug, energy metering data (V/A/kWh) is reported there? If not then you need to repair the device (not remove them from Homey, but use the repair option in the device’s advanced settings menu).

So if i connect a smal light it won’t show the power consumption. But if i connect a vacume cleaner it should show the power consumption.

I repaired one but it did not showed up. I guess it is because of the tresshold. I al gonna try somethings out the rest of the week.

@Harwin / @Doekse Regarding the following, included in the Homey Knowledge Base topic on Testing the Homey Energy beta:

What does “This energy meter measures real-time energy usage only” mean?

For Homey to identify imported and exported energy, smart meter apps must include specific properties. While many apps have been updated, some still need to. If you see this message, we cannot determine your home’s imported or exported kilowatt-hours (kWh). We are working with app developers to enable full support for all smart meters.

Will the official BeeClear app also be updated, since the company that produced this energy manager ceased operations?

That’s how it worked in my case. Of course, assuming that the energy metering data is available in each of the SP240 device tiles (hence my check question in my prior post).

Thanks. I am gonna try and sort somethings out.

Regarding the renaming, I can understand correcting wrong translations, however, regarding point 4, this reads Solar Panels for me, I’d hate to see this changed to PV as I would need to explain to other users of my household what that is.
Not everybody is tech savvy, if text needs changing I’d suggest making it configurable by users but on the other hand I’d see that as a nice to have at best.

The Beeclear account currently manages the App. I’ll discuss internally whether transferring it to a community developer might be an option.

I would like to be able to tell the energy tab what it is. For example akkupower is my battery loading or disharging depending on positive or negative Numbers. (Fronius)

This one by Marcel Zuidwijk works perfect, €18

Works with ESPhome App for Homey | Homey, which is not everyone’s cup of tea.
Not tested with Homey Energy, but any P1 meter should do?
