Is or will it be possible to change the image of the house?
i have shelly em’s but there you have to put the clamps around the conductors. The dongle is plugging in a smart meter to get the data. So the smart meter + the dongle is - for measuring the electricals - an equivalent of the new dongle. added value is the measurement of gas and water consumption
I see it as a direct competitor of the other dongles on the market like Homewizard
How did you change the type?
I see no such option on my Easee EV chargers in Homey.
EDIT: When looking at other threads it looks like the developer of the plugin needs to classify the devices as wallbox?
What I meant was that those interested in tracking their electricity consumption have been doing so for years, usually via their solar panel inverter or a device like Shelly 3EM. On the other hand, I don’t really see how this new device would be able to measure water and gas consumption. In any case, here in Switzerland, this value doesn’t come out at all from the P1 port, because there’s no sensor connected to the water and gas connections.
In the Netherlands, the gas meter transmits its data to the main meter, allowing it to be read via the P1 port. In Belgium, this setup also includes the water meter.
I did set the device to “EV lader”. And there is a car in the garage… but there is nothing in the overview about a car and battery level etc. I cant set my car as type ‘car’
Indeed, the whole time/effort thing is BS imho. There is no hardware limitations here as these P1 dongles are just communicating over wifi and the 2019 homey pro is more than of processing this data. The devices indeed share the same operating system and receive the same updates. There is no software limitation as well here. It wouldn’t cause them any effort to just enable this on these older devises. The only reason they don’t offer this is because Athom didn’t see a commercial opportunity here in doing so. They couldn’t market this feature into something that would persuade people into spending another few bugs to enable this feature and they rather have them upgrading to the 2023 model.
It is pretty sad actually. I personally feel that Homey is in essence a nicer and far superior product than Home Assistent, but it is stuff like this that really makes people move away. The internet is full of people complaining that they paid a premium price for a product, and then they have to continually pay for new features. You would think that after the Advance flows debacle and the Dashboards debacle, they would know better by now. The sad thing here is that people moving away from Homey is also hurting the community and the possibilities of loyal customers.
Apparently there are over 5 times as many people that are willing scavenge the internet to buy individual components so that they can then assemble their own home assistent device before they can install an operating system on it, then install docker on it so that they can than install a vm containing an instance of Home Assistent on which they can than install drivers for dongles that they have to buy separately that enables z-wave, zigbee or matter, before they can even think about installing an app like Node red that will allow them to basically do the same thing you can do with Homey out the box. This says something about how fed up people are with this marketing crap of Homey.
As a loyal customer who is feeling the ever increasing pressure to make the switch myself as well, I sincerely ask Athom: Please stop this crap and just make this and other future features available to all supported devices!
How to get the Easee charger to show up? How to open the garage?
Any idea for Italian Market? In my house I have 3 Energy point, can I add all with 3 energy meter?
Thought the same, if it works on homey cloud then it also can work on my homey 2019. Its just a visual thing in the app.
Is it possible to provide this measure data also from other devices?
I have virtual devices for gas measure and water measure. I these debices would get also a “cumulative” flag, the measurement could be added to energy dashboard. Perhaps this is already possible, but I haven’t seen it yet.
Thanks ![]()
So nobody els is having problems of adding bulk users? I only have one visible but i have five in total. I cant add them in the energy tab. Is there someone who can help me???
@Guus_Dupon Are your devices all included for energy? So, Exclude from energy on “no”?
The HomeWizard Watermeter is compatible with Homey Energy and can be used to track water usage. To appear in Homey Energy’s water usage graph, a device must support the cumulative property. You can find more details about this feature here.
Yes they are. They are setup the same way as the other one that is visible.
@Guus_Dupon Maybe something is wrong with the “Device Class” they’re in? Can you compare all of them?
I am checking
No thats not the case. I even restarted the homey app. But they do not show
Strange, what type of devices are we talking about? Power Plugs, Energy Meters (like Shelly EM), other?
Powerplugs with energie measuring. They are innr SP240
