Homey Energy Dongle compatible with Kamstrup DK-8660 Omnipower P1

Hi

I have a Kamstrup DK-8660 Omnipower meter, equipped with a Kamstrup HAN P1 RJ12 module (6840005).
The P1 port of the Kamstrup unit is today delivering power data to a HomeWizard device so the P1 port is confirmed open and active.

I want to connect a recently bought Homey Energy Dongle (P1-01) powered by an external USB-C power source to the Kamstrup Energy Meter.

Unfortunately when connecting my Homey Energy Dongle to the P1 port of the Kamstrup Energy Meter I do not receive any data to my Homey device.

Is the Homey device directly compatible?
Any advise or suggestion to be able to connect?

/Peter

Welcome, Peter.

Which model are you referring to?
AFAIK only the pre 2022 physical Homey models aren’t compatible with the Homey energy dongle.

Thank you for responding

The Energy Dongle is brand new bought 3 days ago from a regular tech shop in Sweden.
Box refers to parts: HY0038, HY0039, HY0040 and HY0041, but doesn’t say manufacturing year.
According to Homey support manual the dongle should be compatible with external USB power.

No problem. The older Homey models look like a white sphere. Any other model should be compatible.

Sweden you say…
Maybe this makes sense?

Imho a Swedish tech shop should know and point you to this possible prerequisite.

Thank you for the answer.
As mentioned initially the P1 port is already activated and delivers data to a HomeWizard energy dongle so the activation cannot be the problem. I could also read on the web that the P1 port might require to be “released” from the previous dongle protocol when switching. Hence I wait for ~30 min from disconnecting HomeWizard dongle until connecting the Homey dongle.

I was unsure which Homewizard device you referred to with

which made me think of a permissions issue.

May I ask why the Homewizard Energy dongle isn’t satisfactory?
