Homey Dashbords for me and my wife ^^

Hello everyone,

I use a Homey app (Lixee) that gives me my electricity consumption (electricity consumed and electricity produced by my solar panels) in real time.

I’d like to create a Homey graph that’s easily accessible from both my wife’s and my phones so that my wife and I can track our electricity consumption.

Currently, she doesn’t use the Homey app, and she is therefore neither a Resident nor a Guest, but I can of course add her if necessary.

Can someone tell me:

  • With Homey’s Dashboards, can I create a Dashboard that would be displayed on both my Android Homey app and my wife’s one?
  • Will I have to create a Homey’s Resident or Guest account for her?
  • Will I have to purchase one or two Dashboard licenses (1 or 2 x €25)?

Also, if I can share dashboards on my phone and my wife’s, is it possible to create dashboards that would only be displayed on my phone and others that would be displayed on both phones?

I’m waiting for your answers to see if I should purchase the license or not!

Dashboards that you create are shared / available to all users and on both Android and iOS/iPadOS devices (note: dashboards are not available in the web app).

There is one exception: the Home Screen in the mobile app is a device specific dashboard. So whatever you put on there is only available on the Home Screen of that device.

I am not entirely sure, but I believe that guests also have access to dashboards (based on information on which permissions Guests in general have, described in this Homey Support article).

Since you refer to dashboard licenses, I assume you have a Homey Pro 2019 (or earlier). The license is tied to a Homey, not a user. So you would need one licence.
