Homey Dashboards | Megathread

My dashboard just keeps crashing. It has worked for a long time, now i works sometimes for a day. Restart app, clear cache, restart pad. Android 10.

Only one app at the pad

Please help.

Did something change recently with the way the widgets work?
If I remember correctly I could tap the entire widget to turn a light on or off. (for example)
Now when I tap a widget, it opens the details.
And in the corner there’s a small icon for a quick action.
But it’s tiny, compared to the entire widget, and requires much more precision to tap it.
Did I miss an announcement?
Apparently you can disable the quick action, but that doesn’t return to the previous situation, it just removes the tiny button in the corner…

By widget do you mean a device tile?
And did you install the test version of the upcoming new mobile app v10.0.0?

Because what you are describing is part of the test version of the new mobile app.

Ah, yes, it seems I have v10.0.0.
Apparently I’m a beta tester, I don’t remember subscribing to that

If you install the live/stable version from the app store (it will replace the test version), then test versions should not be installed automatically. At least that is how it works on iOS. I assume it is similar on Android.

Indeed, on Android you’ll need to “leave the beta tester program”

Next, uninstall the beta app.
Wait for the playstore to return to the non-beta app tester status.
Next, install the stable Homey app v9.x

Thanks guys, I’ll look into that.
But, this means that this change will come to v10? Any way to downvote it?

+1

Probably an old issue: when adding sensors, I frequently find myself unable to add one after the first step. The button is unresponsive; see screenshot. Unfortunately, I am still on V9.9.0.1954 today (another peculiar thing).

For whoever is interested, bought a secondhand ProVDX. it a batteryless, PoE signageboard/tablet.

Lightweight Android, no Appstore but an APKinstaller…

Vesa mount, works like a charm

Nice warm temperatures inside….
