Thank you verry well.
Is there a way to create iOS widgets of my dashboards?
I want to make my home automation more accessible for my whife without her having to open the Homey app.
I agree on Dashboard only and hope Athom reads this as well. Maybe it’s possible to add a special ‘dashboard only’ user role for it (Manager/Resident/Guest/Dashboard). By starting the app as this user, the app should start Dashboard mode immediately (and exit Dashboard mode=exit app).
My problem with the most minimal user (guest), is that it seems possible now to exit the dashboard, and via the Heimdall device turn off my surveillance (without password). I have my license a couple of hours now, and will verify this.
edit: 11:16 Guest user is able to exit the dashboard, and change the Heimdall Surveillance mode.
Is there a possibility to show curtains and sunscreens as a slider as device
@Ria_Banis - Okay, so I have to first remove the beta from my phone and then the normal Homey version, log in again and then I can make the purchase?
Do I have to go back to the beta version or can I just stay with the current version?
And @Peter_de_Vos, you say just keep using beta and then it won’t cost you anything. Is that true? Of course, you always get a new function first, to test. Clever idea by the way.
Hi Question, I have tested Dashboard on older iPads. I noticed that I only have 2 columns, not 3.
I want to buy a second hand tablet, but I really would like to have 3 columns.
Is there someway to check which tablets of minimum screen resolution to supports 3 columns?
Have you already set your settings to smallest font size?
I gues they make the purchase button available for the testversions soon
Agreed. iPad 10.5 here, should have the possibility for three columns.
I want to show locations of users in a dashboard map (like Google Maps partner sharing). Anyone have a widget for this yet?
It’s possible.
I use the “Here” app, and the Android app Macrodroid (5 macros max in the adware version), to send the location every x minutes to Homey, using a webhook.
(Follow the link to find iphone instructions)
I use an advanced virtual device, and configured it by adding a virtual cam, in order to save the generated map & location pointer.
Macrodroid macro:
Details:
Webhook used:
https://webhook.homey.app/my_homey_id/loc
And, add the last known location as tag, like this:
AVD setting (I called the AVD “Peet location”)
Flow to use:
Dashboard:
-Add a “cam” widget
-Select the AVD you created
Result:
For the dashboard, a tile that can be influenced by variables in color (40% transparency I think) would be great. This would make it easier to indicate statuses when you are standing a bit further away from your dashboard screen.
After a while you have to pay for macrodroid.
That’s not entirely correct, I forgot to mention the ad version is restricted to 5 macros:
I can’t find information anywhere you’d have to pay “after a while”. The description is clear.
Also, of course other apps are able to send the last known location per webhook to Homey.
Macrodroid is a very reliable one.
I have two marcros and after one week my free days are over. Thats what it says now
I use Tasker app for such automations. Perhaps an alternative. But the full version also const some € (but if I remember less than Macrodroid). And there it’s alsläo easy to set up http calls and also react on incoming http requests (to turn in the screen from a Homey flow)
This is amazing, thank you. I didn’t know about the Here app, it opens so much possibilities. I have tasker, but perhaps Macro droid is more reliable, I’ll look into that.
If Athom reads this, you already have the location in the app, perhaps an additonnal checkbox ‘Allow using my exact location in flows’ (with a lot of disclaimers concerning privacy) can be integrated.
You better ask that at Athom Support…
Is it possible to get “big” devices, whit more info in it.
Like what is possible on the web app?

@Rogier_Verheugen Thank you for the tip, works good! And a nice control option.
