Thank you again for this feature. It’s already saving me time.
If I could express my number 1 most desired outcome for this feature, it would easily be for us to be able to overlay insights data on the same graph widget. I realize this may not scale beautifully on mobile, but it would be a massive QOL for users like me to not have to create this in the web app every time.
For my specific use case, this is how Im tracking the air flow and temperature balance in my home over time. But in general terms, I think a feature like this could help users respond to data proactively by giving at a glance data analysis. Which would inform and encourage iteration on complex automations over time.
Is there already a dedicated app topic here in the community, @basvanderploeg?
Would like to ask if the calendar widget can also connect to (i.e.) Google calendar, but this doesn’t seem the right topic…
Hello @Harwin and the whole Homey team!
For your information, the latest Android update has made the zone and energy widgets disappear.
Also, it would have been nice to be able to add “communicating meter” type devices on the energy widget, which was not possible.
If you install the apps on your Homey and then go edit your dashboard you can add the widgets by choosing Apps. You will see the available widgets then.
If you set a device, it shows one (or none) of the properties/attributes. Would it be possible to select which property is shown? Like from a thermostat device, the ‘mode’ it is in, or from a temperature device to select the ‘humidity’? That way I can create a humidy overview dashboard for example.
So the request is to select the property/attribute from a device to be shown.
The Insight Weather Temperature widget does not have a Units selection. It displays Celsius only. Can you convince the US government to change to Celsius? (I wish!) Otherwise can we get a Fahrenheit option for this widget?
@Mikl thank you for reporting the problem your experienced. The Zone and Energy Widgets slipped through to the Beta version. The update was meant for our internal channels. They will be available as soon they are passing our testing process
@aesubs we definitely like your idea of combining charts. It would be great to combine data from same types or maybe even different types of data.
It would be fair to say that duo the limit available space in the columns we have some obstacles to overcome related to interaction design and data processing.
We will give it some thought and time will tell if we are going to build it
Don’t you have a public issue tracker somewhere, where we can report bugs and feature requests? A 100 km long “megathread” is not exactly suitable for this.
Anyways… the speakers widget always shows unknown title and unknown artist, and the background is black. It also does not update play/pause icon if controlled from another device.
This is in the Android app and Homey Pro (2016-2019) by the way.
I’ve tested with Spotify on Chromecast with Google TV, regular Chromecast and Nest Mini speakers.
The dashboard looks very promising, I must say , but it seems to struggle performancewise. I hope you’ll change direction and go for a browser based dashboard instead of the in-app solution, or both. Look to Home Assistant, which runs smoothly on any old device.
Another advantage of this is that users don’t need to have the app installed, and that it maybe could be easier to implement some kind of authorization to limit access to certain dashboards or widgets.
Finally I would like to have the opportunity to change the order of the fullscreens of the dashboard, dragging and dropping them, including all the widgets for that screen.
Not sure if this was posted here already.
But if you have one or more ring camera’s, you can easily add a liveview to your dashboard by using the Webkader (webview?) widget.
Go to your ring dashboard at Welcome Back! Please Log in | Ring and select one of your camera’s liveview. Copy the url and paste it in the widget.
The first time you look at your dashboard you need to login to ring. After login you need to refresh your dashboard (I restarted homey app on my phone for this) and then it will automatically show the liveview.
It does stop the liveview after sometime but it shows a convenient “reconnect” button in the widget to simply restart the liveview.
Perhaps a problem with the ui, but i cannot seem to be able to add anything as the “done” button is behind my information bar top right. I cannot click on “klaar” no matter what i try.
