This setup does not cause issues on my iPad/iPhone. I do have to note that my dashboards are not opened continuously; I check them several times a day and open them only on those occasions.
Just to double check, with the light zone widget, you mean the zone controls widget? Cause I have been looking at the zone variant of the lights widget. If that is the case, I have been looking into the wrong widget, I guess the naming is unlucky
Unfortunately I havenāt had time to take a look at it. I am currently preoccupied with other tasks and responsibilities. I understand this is a very annoying issue and it is on the top of my list of things to do when I have some time between tasks. Donāt worry, I am not forgetting about it.
I too had my Homey dashboard app crashing on my Android Tab, several times a day. I read the comments in this thread that suggested it may be a specific widget.
I tried removing one widget I recently added, and⦠it seems to not crash anymore.
The widget I removed whas that of Homey Energy! I recently got myself an enegrgy dongle, so I added the Energy widget to my dashboard. Now I removed it and it seems the dasboard does not crash anymore.
UPDATE: I mentioned that it was the Energy widget that caused the problem. However, I did not use the Energy widget, but the Insights widget, with the energy dongle select as the source.
UPDATE 2: To check if the Insights (inzichten) widget was indeed the cause, I reinstalled it in my dashboard. And yes: within 30 minutes, the Homey app crashed again. I think this is āproveā that the Insights widget is buggy.
UPDATE 3: unfortunately, my dashboard crashed again, but it took a lot longer since I removed the insight widget. Iām now goin to try to remove another (Datavista) widget, to see how that influences the stability.
Hi All, I did some extra testing and I might have found a clue.
at first, I suspected my Datavista Meter or my Insight widget. I removed them and everything was OK.
Then, I put both DV meter and Insight on the dashboard again. This time, I used another source (one of my temperature sensors). Result: no crashes, everything was fine.
This morning, I changed the source of my DV meter and Insight back to the energy value of my P1 dongle. Result: crash again!
So, I dare to conclude that itās not the widget itself, but it has something to do with using the energy (dongle?) as the sourceā¦
@Bernd_Gaykema What happens if you change the widget sources on the dashboard that crashes, to something not related to energy?

[/quote]Difficult to say as it is all energy!

I wait until Erik has had the time to look into it.
@Erikvl87
Just read you had a new version. For what itās worth, I think I figured out what cause the widget to crash: I believe it crashes when it getās fed with negative values. At first, I thought the energy dongle data had something to do with it, but then I setup a DataVista meter, fed with random negative and positive values. As soon as negative values were sent, the widget crashes.
Not sure ig this is something you found and fixed, but this is a reproduceable situation in the current version..
Thanks Rob, currently I consider this a different issue as I am not expecting this to crash the complete dashboard, but just the widget. Could you reproduce the issue for me and directly after make a crash report for the app and share with me the identifier?
