Dashboard is a nice feature, but on my cheap Lenovo tablet, it’s crashing almost daily. There have been no improvements since the dashboard introduction. It’s utterly unreliable for a feature that’s meant to run for long stretches of time. There is nothing else running on the tablet. Yet, almost every day, or 2-3 if I am lucky, the Homey app has crashed.
I use several tablets (Lenovo M11 and Samsung Galaxy Tab A) with different dashboards at the same time and it is working ok except one issue: The energy price widget from Homey itself. This one is not updating at the day-turn (at 23:29 → 00:00 hours). The graph and the bullit indicating the time is from the past day and time is 00:00.
My dashboards are filled with many widgets from Data Vista.
The tablets work over 5GHz band as Homey is doing as well, all within the same network. Wifi coverage is perfect.
I removed the “Yr” weather widget and it seems Dashboard runs longer without crashing now - 2 days so far. I’ll give it a few more days before leaving feedback about the (potentially) misbehaving Yr app.
edit: I realized the weather widget might not be related to Yr. I literally have no idea how widgets really work and this could well be a native Homey widget getting weather data from a different source.
edit2: After removal of the weather widget, dashboard is now crash free and reliable. It was one of the more useful widgets, so that’s unfortunate, but I’d rather have dashboard running for weeks instead of a couple of days.
