Home Mini vs Homey Pro

I’m transitioning from SmartThings to Homey and just ordered a Homey Bridge and Homey Mini. They should arrive in a couple of days.

That said, I’m still questioning whether I made the right call by going with the Mini instead of the Pro. My main concern is whether the Mini might be underpowered for my setup.

To help paint the picture, here’s a list of the Homey Apps I plan to use. Hoping this gives some context and helps me understand if the Mini can handle it all:

Planned Homey Apps

  • Google Nest
  • Govee
  • iRobot
  • LG ThinQ
  • Philips Hue
  • Samsung SmartThings
  • Sonos
  • Spotify
  • TP-Link Kasa
  • Yale Access / Yale Digital Lock
  • GE Enbrighten
  • Aeotec
  • EcoLink
  • Harmony Hub
  • Aqara
  • Starling

Would love any guidance from folks with a similar setup, especially around performance or limitations I should expect with the Mini vs the Pro.

Thanks in advance!

Welcome to this forum Corey…
From your list I use:

  • Aeotec (Z-Wave) reliable, sensors a bit lazy with updates
    • (this is adjustable at the cost of battery life)

  • Aqara, Zigbee (±30 sensors), due to Homeys’ inherent Zigbee implementation, a few repairs are needed each year.
  • Harmony Hub works well, but for me it doesn’t offer any more added value than the hub remote itself.

Homey Mini: no Z-Wave* (Aeotec), there are users who report it works well with <20 apps
*You can add Z-Wave in combination with a Homey Bridge.
