Hi, I am gradually moving my switches from z-wave to fully wired (Shelly with LAN).
I would also like to have motion sensors wired (e.g. POE?). Does anyone have recommendations?
Best, J

I have thesame question.
Did you find any reliable good working POE motion sensor which can be used in Homey?
I want to use it for a bathroom.
There are USB powered sensors (like many Tuya WiFi motion sensors can be powered with USB), maybe you can use a converter for USB to PoE?
Yes, that could be an idea.
I liked the wired LAN option also, but im giving it a look, thanks.
I’m now looking into https://ceilsense.nl/en/
They said its gonna be available for Homey soon ™
looks very interesting indeed! Did you find anything on homey compatibility?
If it uses a mobile app, it’s probably possible to reverse engineer the API that the mobile app uses to communicate with the manufacturer server and build a Homey app for it (unless it uses CAPTCHAs, advanced encryption or non-standard protocols)
I couldn’t find any mobile app for the device, so it might use Tuya or similar IoT solution. In that case, it might even be already supported. But I’m not sure, there’s no mention on the website which app it uses
I talked to them on discord. They told me that this ceiling sensor would be available in an app for Homey soon.
Don’t have any extra info yet. When its available, i surely will tell it here.
Abe is also in that Discord server, so I have high hopes ![]()
