Flow switch for pool

is there a way to get a pool flow switch (which sends out a signal if the water isn’t flowing though the pipes; this could mean the waterpump runs dry) to communicate with Homey to switch off my waterpump?

like the switch below; do I need to put a relais on it??

If the waterpump running dry is a situation that can cause the waterpump to break, don’t rely on Homey (or any other software-based platform) to turn off the pump. Go for a hardware solution.

Hi Ralph,

I was thinking for future references to solve this via a pressure switch for our pool. When our waterpump runs dry, there is no pressure. Under normal circumstances we have approx. 1,8 bar, when the pump runs dry, it’s close to zero. So simple build a flow which detects when the pressure is below a certain value, an alarm rises and switch off the pump.
