[FeatureRequest] Homey's own sensors and devices arsenal

Something different than

There are many more Homey apps developed by Athom. Or by other software companies that just create the app, nothing do with devices self or firmware in these sensors

Okay, well, I initially thought the closer they were to Homey, the better it would work?… But because I had such a hard time getting it, I opted for Aqara, Shelly wasn’t a success either. :blush::disappointed_face:

I sometimes have little faith when I buy a new Homey that it will actually work. It’s like a gamble. I didn’t know it would happen this way. I had two identical Shelly devices on the outside, but the inside seemed to be from two different firmwares. Now those things automatically update themselves. Then I accidentally deleted those things in Homey once, and now it still picks up one but not the other it doesn’t recognize it anymore. (He still recognizes it in the shelly app on my phone) That’s why I wanted to switch, so I chose Aqara, but now I have this… :slight_smile: :thinking:

Not to bust your bubble, but Aqara is notoriously know to not follow standards.
Try to focus less on brands and look into protocols and if and how they are supported. It seems Matter and Thread are going in the right direction (but aren’t quite there yet) so a switch to a new Homey Pro (or Mini) may be a good next step in your smarthome journey.
