[[Feature Request]] - Peak & Off Peak electricity cost in UK

Is there a reason we can’t have a way of setting peak & off peak electricity costs?

Eg my tariff is 8.63p/kWh from 0030-0530hrs and 29.73p/kWh from 0530-0030. So why can’t I set that as my rates?

I can do that is any other energy app/device I seem to have. Just not Homey Pro, and can’t understand any logical reason why not??

I can’t use the Dynamic Price option as it’s also inexplicably not available in the UK.

And if I select the fixed price it tells me to use an average which is not accurate at all as I load shift to do as much as possible in the cheap window.

So as an example using my tariff it would average at 25.33p/kWh. Which means Homey would calculate 10kWh of usage as £2.533p. However if that 10kWh was all used during the cheap window it would only be £0.863p. So the cost would be estimating it 3x higher than what it actually is. Meaning I can’t do anything useful with flows etc based on cost of energy.

I have suggested this as feedback to Athom but I didn’t even get a response. So wondering if anyone knows why this isn’t implemented?

As an example of a different app I have. This allows you to input peak, off peak and daily standing charge into the settings to give a very accurate estimation of what costs are.

It says the standing charging/kWh there but in the settings it is per day and that is just a typo bug.

And this app does it all from the API of my electricity account, which maybe a easier way for Athom to implement.

Yeah, I know. I mentioned this to Athom as well and posted here when the Energy tab was released by them. I got the same response to average the peak and off-peak tariffs.

Not sure whether they will implement the option to provide two separate tariffs. On the other hand, the more users are asking for this feature, the more attention it will likely get from them .
