Eufy SoloCam E42: Virtual IP camera feed freezes on dashboard

Hi everyone,

I am a basic Homey user and could use some help with my camera setup.

My Setup:

  • Cameras: 2 x Eufy SoloCam E42. They are permanently plugged into USB power (not running on solar or battery alone).

  • Connection: Connected via the Virtual IP Camera app, as they aren’t fully supported by the official Eufy app yet.

  • Dashboards: 2 x Android tablets mounted in the house displaying the Homey dashboard.

The Problem: When I load the dashboard, the live camera feeds start off great. However, after about 5 minutes, the feeds freeze and go completely still. To see outside, I have to manually refresh the dashboard.

Sometimes, I also get this error on the screen: “webRTC offer failed”. Closing and reopening the Homey app on the tablet fixes the error temporarily, but it always comes back.

Is there a way to get a constant, reliable live feed on my tablets with these cameras, or is this a limitation of the setup?

Any help or advice would be massively appreciated!
