Hi everyone!
I came across this guide on how to pull consumption data from eForsyning into Home Assistant (link below), and it got me thinking about whether something similar could be done for Homey — so I wanted to open a discussion here.
The goal would be to fetch consumption data from eForsyning APIs and bring it into Homey, ideally in a usable format for automations, dashboards, etc. This could be relevant for many Danish district heating customers — there’s a list of district heating companies on the eForsyning website that have data available.
Here’s the Home Assistant integration I found:

What I’d like to know is:
-
Has anyone here managed to pull eForsyning data into Homey?
-
Is there an existing app, driver, or API integration for Homey?
-
How difficult would it be to get this data into Homey (from a developer perspective)?
-
Are there limitations in Homey’s ecosystem that would make this hard/impossible?
As an alternative, you could buy a smart gateway that reads the meter via IR (e.g., Kamstrup Multical → SmartGateway: https://smartgateways.nl/en/product/kamst-ir-gateway-for-kamstrup-multical-meters/9), but it would be much nicer to get the data directly from the heating company via eForsyning instead of additional hardware.
My own technical skills aren’t strong enough yet to figure this out on my own, so any pointers or experience would be much appreciated!
Thanks in advance!
