Do I need Homey Premium?

I own a Homey Pro at home, and have now also got a Homey Bridge for the country house. I thought I did not need to get the Homey Premium then?
I have installed them both in the same phone app, but of course in different WiFi-networks.
Do I need Premium to use the Brigde as I use Homey Pro with the same features?

Welcome on this Forum Hultman,

it depends what you want to achieve in your country house,
and the Pro has more then the Bridge in protocols, Apps etc.

You need to upgrade if you need any/all of these:

  • You can connect more than 5 devices.
  • Homey will automatically log measurement data to Homey Insights.
  • You can use Logic in Flows.
  • You can create Logic Variables and use them in Flows.

You dont need a Premium subscription if you add Homey Bridge to the Homey Pro (Early 2023) but that needs to be on the same LAN network.

So you install the Homey Bridge to a Homey Cloud and on the cloud you need a subscription for full functionality and unlimited devices.

The bridge isn’t the one requiring a subscription it is the Homey Cloud that requirs it.
