Hi all, I apologise if I have missed something but I have looked through the forums and whilst I can find people with similar issues, I don’t feel they really match the problem I am having.
For about two months now I am having an issue where my homey pro will keep going off line. This issue seems to get worse and worse whereby about 8 times out of ten, when I open the app it says its offline.
I noticed for a period of time that homey seemed to be restarting, I found that this may be due to an app such as fibaro, so wiped the whole system and restarted from fresh, leaving out fibaro. Same issue.
I have the ethernet adaptor, which I dont bother using anymore as this seems to make the issue worse. I am running on wifi, I have seperated homey from all the other devices such as wifi, aqara hub, hue, and it now sits alone on a table in the living room. So yesterday I reset it back to factory settings and started again, I installed the following and BAM; unable to instal anything else becaudse its offline again.
BTW I also changed the network configuration with the switch and TP Link Deco and stil lthe same problems.
So today I thought I will keep a running log of what is going on before it starts acting up.
- I reset the homey back to factory settings. Set up in the living room away from everything else, connected via wifi to a TP Link Deco, which is connected to the router directly.
- Homney bridge showing in the app and added
- Downloaded Hue app and added 17 lights and configured
- Added the following apps Traktive, Spotify, Aqara, Nuki, Sonos, Ring (not the offiicial but the one that allows adding of the entire ring system) and Samsung TV.
This time round I havent got any further before its going on and off. Normally it will let me add all that and more, then some bits like the “group” and some things like widgey and get everything up and running before it starts failing.
I dont know if this is a hardware or software issue and right now I am not sure what to do, its too frustrating to keep reapeating myself with this and having it go to ruin again. I am tempted to send it back and go back to HA, but I really love the concept and eveything about Homey, any advice anyone?
