Did I lock my doors?

I noticed there are devices available which can lock and unlock your doors with Homey. I prefer usual key. Bit oldfashioned, my age goes with it. Forgetting to lock my doors goes with my age too. We have 5 outside (slide-) doors, so chance of forgetting one when we leave home, is high.

I am search for a sensor which can check for me if doors are closed and locked when i start the flow “good night” or “see you later”.

Any ideas?

There are also devices like the Switchbot Lock, Tedee and Nuki which just turn the key on the inside, so you can still use your regular lock

I use a contact sensor on each door, a button next to it and a virtual door lock device. Then I set up flows so that when the door opens and the lock was locked then unlock it. And if the button is pressed while door closed lock it. It actually works very reliably and has done for years.

If you use the virtual devices app to create virtual locks then these publish to HomeKit as locks so you can ask Siri whether all doors locked. Maybe works with non Apple as well but I’m an all Apple house here.

i use contact sensors on doors & windows, and the “leave” & “sleep” modes start this Homeyscript, which sends an alert on the actually opened doors & windows:

.

I also made a “master” indicator, (on when any door/window is open, plus the number of opened doors/windows).
