i am looking to a homey connected thermostat i can also use manually on the wall, with the switch inside the thermostat (wired command). thanks.
Hello Rolp,
A few questions:
Can you purchase devices worldwide, or should we narrow it down to devices available in your region?
Do you mind if it depends on “the cloud”?
Otherwise you should narrow it down to Z-wave / Zigbee / Matter-over-Thread enabled thermostats.
Thx.
Thanks for your interest Peter, yes if it’s available on amazon or that kind of seller worlwide can be ok, and i would prefer that works even if internet connexion is lost, so Zigbee or z-wave should be preferable.
For Homey Pro 2023 you can consider tado° X. It uses Matter-over-Thread (sharing the same chip with zigbee).
tado° can be configured as on/off or as modulating thermostat.
It also can be extended with TRV’s.
I’ve used tado V2 (cloud) for many years, it didn’t fail once.
I had to change it to an Intergas model because of changed heating systems.
From the best buy guide:
The Heatit Z-TRM3 thermostat is Z-wave enabled, but I’m not sure about stable operation with Pro 2023. It needs 230V power, which can be a pro or a con - most run on batteries.
It also can’t be expanded with smart TRV’s
Heat-it is Sweden based.
Here you’ll find all Homey compatible z-wave thermostats:
