I think it would be really good to have built-in support for esphome.
It would open up the use of a lot of affordable products that are already on the market.
The community app that already exists is far too difficult for ordinary users.

Comprehensive Esphome support would be a main keeper for me, not to switch away to HA.
I love the UI and hardware of the Homey, and the app universe makes sense in consumer land.
However a robust and up to date ESPhome support comes in as a welcome brain transplant whenever a commercial product stops supporting their proprietary cloud infrastructure and what else they’ve mad ein oldfashioned ways.
So
if Homey builds on the abandoned ESPHome app and carries it into Homey 1.5 capabilities and opens up for labeled toggle switches and dynamic enums.
Then surely homey remains a keeper no matter what the market decides.
