All the battery powered hardware shows now battery unknown or other battery. No CR2032 or similar anymore. When I started with Homey Pro before 3 weeks it does show the correct battery type. Maybe it has lost the battery type with update 12.3.1
Does anyone have the same issue ?
Thanks for pointing to the issue. All Aqara devices (zigbee) show unknown battery type. Others, here zWave devices display the correct type. Canāt say whether itās an aqara or a zigbee issue.
Probably a zigbee issue. Have no Aqara products. But Philips Hue without bridge, Bosch Smart Home via matter, Marmitek. The Hue and the Marmitek Sensor Iām sure they showed the right battery type.
My Aqara devices using Matter and Thread do not show the battery type. Also, they all (three at this time) always show 100% battery. One of those devices has been installed for a year and the other two for six months. I canāt believe they are really at 100% battery charge.
They are the P2 Window Sensor and the P2 Motion and Light Sensor.
Possible that the battery via matter always show 100 % or low for change. My Bosch via matter only reports āokā, no percentage of the load.
Installed a new zigbee device today. A frient motion sensor pro. Here the correct type 2x AA is shown and load set to OK. Maybe it is solved with Firmware 13.3.2 . Have to test it with the older devices, if a reconnect helps.
Tested this now with a Marmitek Water Sensor. Repair didnāt help. Delete and new installion solved this issue. The correct battery type is shown again. Perfect.
A Homey SW update cleared the Energy object defining which batteries are used.
SW version 12.3.1 resolved the cause of this issue but does not recover from it.
Users should either re-add the devices (but then they loose the history / insights) alternatively app developers could implement a fix that will re-instate the energy object⦠but that will require an app updateā¦
@TedTolboom I have 2 aqara devices with batteries :
Recently bought Aqara Temperature And Humidity Sensor T1 does not show battery status
Earlyer bought ( 25-11-2024) Aqara wireless Switch T1 Zigbee does show battery status
I have run the update to 12.3.1 before installing the Temperature And Humidity Sensor
It does not mach your explanaitionā¦
I have approx 20 Aquara Zigbee devices. However only 1/3 have battery info reported, the rest are unknown. Havenāt put my finger on why yet.
I am running HP23 (12.12.0) with Homey Bridge & 4 Ikea Routers using Aquara 1.16.2 app.
I donāt know if related but all my IKEA (battery powered) devices has always shown battery 100% until dead regardless of Zigbee or Matter based.
Aqara batterie devices are a bit strange regarding batterie type display. Some of mine display the batterie type some not. The best thing is nearly all are of the same type. Happened a while ago after some updates. Athom said they will have a look into it but they seem to think itās an app thing. The app devoloper said he thinks itās not the app. Athom support said the batterie type might show up after a change in batterie charge level. Well it didnāt. Am not 100% shure as I didnāt bother to track.
