Good morning everyone!
So I was trying to setup an advanced flow to do something I thought would be simple with my Aqara wireless button and a Linkind smart RGB bulb.
This light is in my bathroom. What I wanted it to do was, when pressed once it would toggle the light on and off at full brightness in a warm yellow color, unless it is between 11pm and 3am, in which case it would only turn on to 30% (still warm yellow).
In addition, when pressed twice, I want it to come on in a very intense blue at about 50%.
I setup the flow - and everything SEEMED to be fine until I tried the double press. It then turned a pale blue at about 50% - and then any time I pressed the button it ONLY came on in the 50% bright pale blue. The pale yellow wouldn’t happen.
Now, we have HomeKit running as well - wife uses it and will NOT change. Not an option, no reason to suggest anything along those lines. She has dug her heels in, HomeKit for life. Not a huge deal - I have simply been setting up flows for buttons and sensors in Homey and she ends up using homey without actually realizing it - but my point is we will ALWAYS be using a Homey + HomeKit setup, which I am actually ok with.
So, I tried to revert back to simply having a basic automation for the button/light combo in HomeKit - the pale blue was STILL there. I could manually change the color via HomeKit - but pressing the button brought back the pale blue! Weird! This was AFTER I had completely deleted the flow in question from Homey. Now, eventually, the pale blue stopped and the HomeKit automation is working normally (warm yellow is turning on).
But, compared to Homey, HomeKit automation is very weak. I want my intended Homey flow for this button/light combo to work. I know it can - but I don’t know what I did wrong. I know it was me and not Homey - I just don’t know what my error was.
Can any of you fine people give me some feedback, advice, tips, suggestions or info? Any and all help would be appreciated!
