Aqara Temperature and Humidity Sensors

Glad to hear that you solved it.

And also good that you have experienced some of the basic principles of Zigbee devices yourself :grinning: :

  • Always pair the device at the final location. This is needed to establish the most efficient route via the Zigbee network. If you are unable to pair it at that location, then you need to add router devices to extend the Zigbee network first.
  • Most battery powered Zigbee devices require you to keep them awake during the pairing process, as they are likely to enter sleep mode during the pairing process.

There is another factor to keep in mind, which might become a problem depending on the number of Zigbee devices you have: make sure to pair router devices first with Homey, before pairing battery powered devices.

Homey only has a limited number of spots available for direct connections with Zigbee devices (so the first hub of the mesh network). You really want these spots to be assigned to router devices and not battery powered devices. As the latter ones do not contribute to extending the Zigbee mesh network. You may end up with unresponsive devices or unable to pair new devices if the Zigbee mesh has not been set up properly.
