In this article I learned about the Aqara panel hub s1 plus. I am thinking of replacing my H1 double rocker with neutral with it.
It has a built-in hub which supports matter so I can connect my hue bridge?
Besides the hue lightbulbs if have a light sensor, motion sensor and some buttons from Aqara directly connected to my Homey 2019.
Is it possible to connect the display/hub to homey without matter?
Thank you @Wim_Post ,
I nearly missed your post as the title is in Dutch.
May I kindly ask you to translate in future posts the title to English, if you post in the international (English) sector of the forum?
You can connect S1 panel to Homey using HomeKit Controller.
The panel has only Matter Bridge, so i don’t think it will work directly with Hue(?)
In Homey you get 6 dummy buttons from the panel, plus 3 switches for the integrated switches (i assume one is a bug).
You need to set up name and icons for each button in the Aqara app, and link them to a flow in Homey.
I use mine in Home Assistant through Matter and quite happy with it even with the limitations.
(The only place where I can install the display has not enough room to the left. So I have to install the display upside down. So the screen has to rotate accordingly. Will it rotate?)
I’m back with news!
I got myself an Aqara M3 Hub (Matter) - Linked M3 with Matter to Hue hub and got Hue LED Strip easily in as fully function buttons on Aqara Panel (Not the dial unfortunately).
There is a rumor that the panel will get a Matter Bridge update soon, but i’ve not seen any confirmed info on this.
I would recommend the Panel, but not the Dial.
I would also recommend you to wait until the update is confirmed, else you need a aqara matter hub between panel and hue.
Let me know if you want a video of how this works.
I have not found a way to rotate the screen.
Ps. the panel looks amazing.
