That error means the device is offline. Is it working in the Tuya mobile app?
Thnx for your swift reply! I see what is happening. Indeed it was showing offline in the Tuya app. But somehow it is now online and it is working properly. Not sure what or how caused the offline status, but it is throughout the house online. Maybe after certain amount of time out of use it goes offline and when in range it goās online again? Anyhow, thnx it is working ![]()
No, not really. My devices stay online. They do have to be in range of your WiFi network though.
I havenāt finished my tutorial yet, since I still have to make some screenshots and do some tests with a few light bulbs, but Iām sure it will be done tomorrow, because Iāve almost finished my full tutorial
Wow , It works great . Thx for the updated working app.
Would it be possible to add support for the air / perfume diffusers ?
Just finished:
Hello everyone,
I connected a Vonroc Smart Heater via Tuya Cloud in Homey. The device is recognized, but I only see the datapoints lock, light and countdown_set. There is no option to switch the device on/off or set the temperature.
For comparison, I also have an Infrared heating panel (same category: qn) which does expose the following datapoints:
switch, temp_set, temp_current, work_state, countdown_set, countdown_left
Would it be possible to add support for the Vonroc Smart Heater so that switch and temp_set become available in Homey as well? I can provide JSON details of both devices if needed.
Thanks for your efforts!
Regards,
Gert
Thank you so much for the time it took to create this detailed guide, @smarthomesven. Much appreciated.
Iām used to the third party Tuya apps on Homey so Iām not familiar with integration through the official iOS Tuya apps.
So far, I havenāt had to add any of my white label devices to the Tuya iOS apps, they have just worked being added straight into Homey. I donāt have a Zigbee bridge which the iOS seem to need as it asks me to link it before I can add a device. Does that sound correct?
Yes, but my guide is for Tuya WiFi devices. You would need a ZigBee bridge to link them using the official app, but if your devices are working with the Tuya ZigBee app, thereās no need for one right?
Ahhhh thank you for pointing that out. I missed that important detail ![]()
Some do work and some donāt work. Due to the development stopping a year ago there are lots of devices that Johanās app doesnāt support. The newer app by @dlnraja covers most of my devices but is still very much a work-in-progress.
You might be right in that this official Tuya app isnāt going to be for me after all.
Weāve added some additional documentation to the start post, such as what to do when reporting a bug or requesting a device. Weāve also published a list with the requested device types and the current planning for those.
If you have documentation that you want added, you can submit a pull request to the Github repository or shoot us a message to update the start post here!
The Homey app says it supports both SmartLife and Tuya, but not both at the same time? I see that SmartLife has a different āUser Codeā than Tuya and then it might not be possible to add devices from both apps?
You can easily merge your Smart Life and Tuya Smart in to 1 app (either Smart Life or Tuya), since both are internally the same. You can follow this tutorial to easily migrate your devices to the other app:
trying to get all my ledvance lights and plugs ind to homey. installed this app and tuya on my phone. got the app to find all of my lights and plug. can control them in the tuya app. but this app cant find any devices. went through the user code and the QR code setup. am i doing any thing wrong?
Is there any support for Airconditions? Have some AC in tuya.
Tried the āother" method, but it asks me to scan my own screen, which is pretty impossible?
Anyway Iād like to request adding flood/water leakage sensors.
Refer to the first post on how to request support for your specific device.

Do you have a PC or an (old) phone? On a PC you can use my.homey.app
If you can install the Tuya or the Homey app from a tablet or an (old) phone, you can also scan the QR that way.
I did read that GitHub post, and it said āfirst add the device to homey(to get itās details)" - but I canāt add it to homey when itās not supported? I checked tuya in case it was a typo, but those kinds of device details are not present in tuya.
