mine does 8 at time without issue
Itās a lost cause from the start.
He doesnāt give advice, he doesnāt help people, heās not here to lend a hand.
His only goal is to say how terrible Homey is and how perfect Home Assistant is.
Thatās the gist of his useless (in my opinion) comments.
PS Be careful how you write too. If you allow yourself to elaborate a little, perhaps using sophisticated terms and creating a well-articulated post, youāll be told that you had it written by AI ![]()
yes theres plenty of those types around ![]()
Please stay on topic about the Tuya app.
What should happen?
Which model?
Have to say, I find your whole exchange rather baffling
I hope the weekend was kind to you
I canāt believe it. ADIH
I am using the official Tuya App. Since yesterday all my devices are unreachable. Am I the only one or is there a problem with the Tuya App?
Please read the first post ![]()
You mean this part of the post? āand might also stop working for current users in the futureā. Iām afraid that day was yesterday then ![]()
Everything is working OK for me. I have a bunch of devices connected by the official Tuya app. Every now and then a device will drop offline but all I have to do is delete it and add it back in again. It might be worth trying that for some of your devices to see what happens.
I minimise the impact by using Tuya scenes to do as much device control as I can. For example, I change light settings via scenes. Iāve never had an issue executing scenes from Homey using the official app.
Donāt be tempted to remove the app itself. If you get to a point where you have to re-verify yourself, thereās no way to get back in.
Andy
Hi Andy, untill yesterday everything worked fine. Most of my devices are connected through the Tuya Cloud-app. I have connected the devices which lost connection with Tuya Cloud now so theyāre working again.
I will keep the official app installed. I hope someday it will work again.
The day has comeā¦.. ![]()
My headpump can no longer be controlled with the original Homey Tuya app.
All Values, generated by the IF-cards are now called ācolorā. My dashboard shows wrong information and controlling the water temperature has been stopped.
Luckely I already moved some parts of my advanced flows (eg heating curve setting) to another Homey app, specially created for my brand of headpump (link, is only in Dutch).
Hope to see this original Homey Tuya app working in the future again, as like @Ralph_Z hopes as well.
I have a dehumidifier that i have set up manually using Device Capabilities app. Is there a way to request a full status update on the device?
What do you mean? Have you used the Tuya Cloud app for Homey in combination with raw commands?
If so:
- Some Tuya based WiFi devices send updates of all capabilities every 10 secs, while other devices (I think most) only send sn update when a capability value changes.
- If you update your virtual device every time it receives an update from a capability, then it should alway show the current state.
Yes, im using raw commands and values update when I trigger a change, bjt if homey is offline for a reason and dont get the status change, it will never update. So I would like to know if someone has found a vommand that triggers Tuya to send all status on all parameters.
I am not aware of such a possibility. The Tuya Cloud app for Homey donāt have such a functionality.
Maybe there is a direct API-command possible to the Tuya cloud to refresh/update the status. You might want to check the documentation on Tuyaās IoT platform/developers portal. Though, as far as I know, you also need a way to be able to authenticate your device in such an API call, which might be āchallengingā.
Normally an option would be to reach out to the developer of the Tuya Cloud app to check whether such a feature is possible and he is willing to add it. But as I understand he stopped the development of this app.
I read in this topic above, that Athom is trying to find a way to revive the official app: [APP] Tuya - Connect any Tuya device with Homey (by Tuya Inc. / Athom) - #1064 by Doekse. Though it is unclear whether this will actually happen. If so, you might want to reach out to them for options regarding your question.
I just found this online:
This looks promising. It seems to use a new auth method. I havenāt tried it yet, but I will test this app later today
I just tested it and was able to log in using my usercode and a QR code scan within the Tuya app. It discovered the devices but since there still appears to be parts related to OAuth (the old auth method) left in the code, the devices are shown as unavailable.
Seems like you found some parts of the new code haha
This will be indeed what the new integration will be based on. But do note, @Emile only made the first test, one of our agencies is working on the final integration ![]()
