Hello,
is it possible to connect a Tapo D210 videodoorbell?
That one uses a battery, so it doesnāt support RTSP (for energy efficiency). Homey can only live stream using RTSP, so the P2P protocol that the Tapo mobile app uses cannot be used with Homey.
So itās not possible to add the D210 to Homey
Hello Sven,
Thx for the reply.
The video is not necessary, I would like to trigger an event when the doorbell button is activated.
Is that maybe possible ?
Or is it possible to connect the H200 or H500 hub?
Does anyone know how to add Tapo P304M powerstrips via this app? I have installed it, logged into my Tapo account but all I get is āNo devices foundā even though there are plenty, lolā¦
Thank you
They arenāt supported by the app yet, so you canāt add them.
You can also use Google Home automations and virtual devices (add them as the type āKettleā) to control the power strips from Homey.
Thank you, I hope they are supported soon.
is there a limit on how many tapo devices can use the local api connection? i have a p100 i added about a couple of weeks ago and it cant use the local api. it has the klap protocol error. already tried re-enabling local api connection as well as re-enabling the third party integration on the tapo app.
i have a few more tapo plugs to add to my tapo but but thought id ask. turning off local api connection i can control the p100. turning local api connection back on it stops working and has the red exclamation mark. ive also tried restarting the tapo app also.
Hi,
Iāve been using the app for a few weeks with two C200:s and one C500.
Iāve successfully added the cameras and created flows using the motion/activity alarms to turn on lights etc. All good so far.
However, after one or a few days the cameras seems to go āquietā and no activity is registered by Homey even though everything works as normal in the Tapo smartphone app with notifications etc.
Using the repair function ābrings them to lifeā for a few days again but then the process repeats it self.
The cameras are setup with fixed IP-addresses and camera accounts. Iāve tried enabling/disabling the local API connection but there is no perceivable difference.
What am I missing?
Hi guys.
Question regarding C200ās. Since support for Tapo cams are somewhat new, Iāve had ,and has, both my C200ās connected to Homey via ONVIF, and they work, but since I have and assortment of Tapo plugs too, and they already are in the Tapo app, the 2 x cams would be nice to get there too. But I cannot get the Tapo app to find them. Tried all the tricks from this topic here also, but no juice. Since the ONVIF app uses the buildt in camera account, is it a issue for Tapo app, that they are connected in the ONVIF app, while I try and add them via the Tapo app? Need help, please.
Came to ask if the Tapo s515 could be added.
I successfully added my tapo d235 doorbell camera, through the camera account. But when I go live I only get a black screen, any way to solve this? (other cameraās work fine!)
Hello, can somebody please help me. I changed my wifi network sow had to re add my p115ās. I added them over the official app (comm app gives error code āāself-signed certiicateāā when adding). When adding both directly show the red triangle but are being added. They have still the same fixed ip. When i turn lokal api off they work but they dont see power consumption. When i turn local api on they get the red triangle again and showing device not available. Can someone help ![]()
The devices connect via the cloud, so that shouldnāt matter. Is the device online in the Tapo mobile app when you disable WiFi on your phone (so it only uses mobile network)?
Yes, they are online in de tapo app on my phone.
What error message does it show in Homey when you long-click the device tile?
With the new firmware update you need to enable āthird party integrationā. If it is already on disable it and enable it again.
