Hi,
I am the developer of the Link2Home Homey app. Today, I got a message that the app was rejected because the icons weren’t recognizable.
However, I don’t really understand why. The icon was copied from the Link2Home website also, so it is the actual brand logo.
Which other icon should I use for this app? Should I just use the smart plug’s driver icon instead? I don’t understand why the current icon was rejected.
Strange indeed. And how does your icon differ from e.g. the following one, which also has a white fill?
I can just tell - try also “homey app review” …

Introduces a new CLI command that runs an AI review of a Homey app against the A… pp Store guidelines, helping developers catch issues before submission.
Supports both new and update submission types, configurable AI providers (OpenAI and Anthropic), and outputs results as either human-readable terminal output or machine-readable JSON. Collects app manifest, images, and optional custom instructions to provide comprehensive feedback with severity-based findings and a final verdict.
- [ ] Update homey-lib when released (see https://github.com/athombv/node-homey-lib/pull/714)
P.S. The unit tests fail because homey-lib has not been updated yet
I wonder if it’s not AI error during automated review, or after all, maybe human/real reviewer, did mistake
It might mean that there’s a technical issue with the icon. For instance, when it has a background color instead of a transparent background.
Easiest fix: Create an issue here with your sample image and have Athom create the svg file for you.
It’s approved now. For anyone looking for the Link2Home app:
