Waterguard+ can be connected to and controlled directly from Homey via BACnet IP.
Connection via BACnet IP makes it possible to view water alarms, malfunctions on valve units, read moisture and temperature measurements from WaterSensor+, battery status and open/close valves, as well as a number of other functions.
App talks to your Abra Linkbox+ directly over the local network, so your leak protection keeps working even when the internet does not.
NOTE! Bacnet IP integration is only available with Linkbox+ 4G (Pro) and requires activation of Bacnet capabilities on the Abra Linkbox+
You can find the app here: Waterguard | Homey
Hope this is useful to you and happy to receive any suggestions or other feedback.
Configuration and Setup of BACnet/IP to Homey
The Linkbox+ 4G (PRO) has built-in support for connection to Homey via BACnet/IP.
Important: The Linkbox+ must be connected to the internet for Waterguard to configure it.
To register/configure a Linkbox+ for connection to a Homey system, the following steps must be followed:
The following information must be sent to Waterguard Customer Service (post@waterguard.no) as a request:
- Linkbox serial number (found on the back of the Linkbox)
- BACnet ID: 1001
- IP address, subnet mask, and gateway address (if the system uses static IP addresses)
- Internet connection: Specify whether the Linkbox should have internet access via Ethernet
- BACnet Port: 47808
(Information required for each Linkbox+ in your system)
Procedure:
- Waterguard Customer Service receives the request and remotely configures the device.
- The customer is notified when the configuration has been completed.
- Testing and commissioning on Homey.

Hi would it be possible to add support for the Waterguard+ adapter but without the Linkbox+?
No. Unfortunately, only the Linkbox+ (4G) supports BACnet/IP. The original Linkbox runs on an older OS platform with much more limited capabilities and does not expose a BACnet interface.
Although the WaterSensor+ devices use wireless communication, they are not exposed as individual Zigbee devices that can be paired directly with Homey. They are managed by the Linkbox+, and the app communicates with the Linkbox+ over BACnet/IP to retrieve sensor data and control the valve.
To use this integration, you’ll need to upgrade to a Linkbox+ (4G).
