[APP][Pro] Wallbox Charger - Smart EV charging technology made simple

Hello @Rob_Malschaert,
A 429 error typically means too many requests—Wallbox may be rate-limiting API calls from the Homey app. This can happen after repeated polling or failed authentications. Try waiting a few hours, then re-authenticate your Wallbox account in Homey. If the issue persists, it’s likely a temporary API restriction on Wallbox’s side—worth reporting to both Homey and Wallbox support for resolution. You’re not alone—others have seen similar issues recently.

Best Regards,
Amy Cross

Thanks for the reply.

The re authentication did not work. I am going to raise the issue with Wallbox. I believe the Wallbox update is the issue

Thanks for this github link. Exactly what I needed.

I build a flow for my charger (not wallbox, but the flow should still be usable).
I am very satisfied with the way it uses all my solar surplus. (My meter is on ~300W, which more or less matched the resolution (1A=220W)

You can read and doenload it here

I also have this 429-error.
I’ll wait until @rkokkelk has made a new test version available: he is working on it.
To help him I am sending a “cup of coffee” to him … :hot_beverage: :euro_banknote:

Many thanks for fixing the app Roy!

Dear Roy,

Do you already have plans to integrate the EV charger into the Homey energy dashboard? I’m starting to miss it in my overview

Hi there, still having problems with the availability of the chargers (2 in my case). any views on how to solve this? Deleted en re-installed the app already.

Thanks in advance!

Have you check the Wallbox app? Not the Jomey Wallbox app but the charger app. Can you see the chargers have the wifi connection or is just the Bluetooth connection available?

Once in a while, it happens for me for the charger to drop from the wifi then of course Homey can’t see the charger, this is not a Homey problem. A reboot of the charger itself solves the problem, until next time.

Thanks for your suggestion, much appreciated. The original app is working flawless.

Ik have a set of flows to make the most of my solar energy and load balancing as well, with depend on a working Homey app. wicht till recently worked without a hitch. Hoped Roy did an update or Wallbox did, which might have caused this. On my end I didn’t change anything.

Fixed it. Was due to a wrong card in my flow, which resulted in too frequent rolling.

Hello to the community

For a long time the App was working, after the update. But for now I do not get the correct ‘plugged in’ ‘not plugged in’ state. It’s fixed at ‘plugged in’, so I cannot detect when the plug is unplugged from the car

Any who have the same picture?

I am using version 1.0 (test) of the app.

I have a fixed charging timeplan set up in the wallbox (charge at night). For some reason this means that when i plug the car to the charger, the homey app does not register the plug is in. It shows just the status “waiting for…”, but the app does not seem to register the car is plugged in (even though I can see the car is plugged in in the wallbox itself).

It does not seem possible to select the status “waiting for..” in the flow cards of homey. Is it possible to add it? Or make the homey app register the plug in in a situation where the wallbox is in timerplan mode?

My use scenario is that i want the wallbox to charge at night (timed plan), but i also want to be able to overrule the wallbox timerplan with homey if the price is right. In my flow i utilise the status card “pluged in” to check if a car is connected, but as mentioned this does not work if you plug in when the wallbox is in timermode - at least the homey app doesnt register.

i realize i could make all the automations in homey, but would rather want the wallbox native timeplan in place as a sort of back up (my homey does not always react as intended, and dont want to be without a charged car in the morning  ).

Thx and Great work on the app.

Recently I installed the #Wallbox app and it works perfect. The only question I have is why its not recognised as an EV-charger on the “energy page”. When I use a power socket (and selected as EV-Charger) I see a car in a garage. With the wallbox I only see a closed garage door. Does anyone know why?

Witch version you installed?

This one. But I see you have another one!?

Yes you must install the test version
