My guess is that it was because it was plugged in. It was not in a charging state when i tested it yesterday. But i had connected it earlier that day and it charged up to 80% before the car stopped it. Maybe this has something to do with it. When it was unplugged from the car the functionality worked right away. (Very quickly aswell!!)
Heads-up that may affect this app: Elaway and Aneo Mobility have merged and are now operating as Joulia. Customers are being migrated onto Joulia’s common platform right now.
I got the migration email on 27 August (Swedish account, Zaptec wallbox in a housing association). It says my association will be moved over within 14 days, and — the important part for this app — that I will lose my Elaway app login and need to set a new password for the Joulia Charge app instead. Billing also changes from card to monthly invoicing.
Since this app authenticates against the Elaway cloud API with email/password, I’d expect the login to stop working once an account is migrated, and possibly the whole API endpoint to change.
Have you had any migration notice on your account yet, or looked at whether Joulia exposes the same API? Happy to help test once mine is moved over — I can report back on what breaks and share whatever I can see from the Joulia app side. I run the charger through Homey for spot-price automation, so I have a strong interest in this not going dark.
Thanks for the heads up, I’m aware of the merger but I still haven’t received anything that my account (and our housing association) is being migrated just yet.
Hopefully I receive it soon enough so I can prepare for the migration.
