Yes, please send me your JSON. The more data I have, the more stable and reliable the app will become.
I can also add a per‑device setting to convert kilometer values to miles.
Here you go: 978f3cf2-4f5d-4b69-9e9c-6932295c0f7e
Can’t seem to see an option for miles or km in my version, am running v 0.014, should it be in that version?
I have connected my car but when I look at the files generated at https://eu-data-act.drivesomethinggreater.com/ it ends with xxxx_no_content_found.zip
Something I have forgotten to add/accept or just to wait?
I have choosed “All” and 15 min when I created the Data Cluster
@daniel77 You need to go to your car and get it to wake up from deep sleep.. Then you will get it to work.
Hi there,
First of all: thank you so much for building this app!
I’ve been testing it on my Homey Pro with my VW ID.3, and the initial setup works seamlessly. The app successfully fetches the latest JSON from the EU Data Act portal and parses everything correctly without any hiccups.
HOWEVER, I’ve noticed an issue regarding data latency. The data points inside the JSON don’t seem to be up-to-date. There feels like a massive time lag between the actual vehicle status and the values provided in the JSON payload. For example, when charging the car overnight, the battery level in the app updates very slowly, bit by bit, rather than reflecting the actual real-time state.
Has anyone else experienced this latency directly from the EU Data Act portal?
Thanks again for the great work!
Thanks for sharing the JSON! I’ve checked it and everything looks correct — all 27 data points from your vehicle are properly mapped.
If you’d like the maintenance values to show as positive numbers instead of negative, you can enable “Invert maintenance values” in the device settings under Display.
Thanks for testing! ![]()
MY Fault: Forgot to publish new version yesterday night - new version is published now: 0.0.15
I’m seeing the exact same behavior.
I downloaded the latest zip file and extracted the JSON. All timestamps in the JSON appear to be at least a day old. This is not cause by the car being in some kind of sleep mode as it has been driven the last 2 days and both the Volkswagen app on my phone and the Volkswagen app on Homey that is still updating for me are up to date.
I now have the option, could you make it change the km in the hover over of mileage till next service to miles too so it says miles to next inspection not km to next inspection. Same for km to oil change.
Then it’ll all be spot on, amazing work btw…
@Tim_Marshall
Could you please share a screenshot, how it looks like? Thanks
Fixed in 0.0.16
Amazing work, really!!! All looking spot on now!!!
Yes, I have the same issue with my ID.3 2026 model.
The car is always awake, VW App shows correct data, and the other VW Homey Pro app also still shows up-to-date data.
Wondering if this delay issue is car dependent, or some kind of other issue ![]()
There appears to be major lag in the ”real time (15m) data export” in the VW EU data act portal. I get files every 15 minutes, but the actual data within the files is about 24h delayed. Other forums online seem to discuss this very issue, which might have to do with overload of the VW portal or some other issues. Regardless it is affecting all integrations using these zip file exports as data source..
(right now I can follow my cars charging session from yesterday, as if it happens right now, in the zip file data delivery…)
This Homey app works great, but for now (and for me at least) the data source is unreliable at best ![]()
Update on EU Data Act Portal delays
Thanks for reporting the data lag issues — you’re not alone. I’ve been in direct contact with Volkswagen Group Info Services AG support about this, and they confirmed:
“This may be related to ongoing data issues we are working to fix.”
So the delays and no_content files are a known platform-side issue that VW is actively working on. It’s not related to your vehicle, brand, or this app.
The app is working correctly — it processes whatever the portal delivers. The lag is on VW’s side, and they’re aware and fixing it. Hopefully things stabilize soon for everyone.
I’ll keep monitoring and post updates if I hear more from their support team.

Here’s a comparison between the myAudi App and VW Group Vehicles App (Battery SOC):
There is currently (since June 30) a delay of about 20 to 40 minutes…
…previously, it was significantly worse.
