No, probably it’s a manual process so that would take too long for any automated system
EU Data Act is not GDPR, it is instead about being able to access your data regularly. But not sure if it says anything about that it should be without extra cost…
Maybe we should automate te requests. Not because it would be useful, but If thousands of users send a daily request for access to their data, manufacturers might realize that the cost of fulfilling those requests is just as high as the cost of an API 
I managed to get this link via VW’s official website. Here it says it should be free of charge to access the data even to a third party service:

I’ve managed to get the data to show up in Home Assistant using the Hacs add on (VW Group EU Data Act for Home Assistant) this pulls the data from from the official Volkswagen Group EU Data Act portal. However it is just read only so you cant actually control climate or unlock your vehicle. So far I get battery level, locked info and a whole load of other sensors. I’m using the Home Assistant Homey app to get this info into Homey and so far its working really well. Hopefully someone is able to develop an app for Homey itself.
I managed to make this ABRP connection to my ID.4. But unfortunately not all the information I see in ABRP is available or correct in Homey.
Available and correct in Homey:

Available but not correct:
- id4.connected (stays true)
- id4_power (gives negative value)
Available in ABRP but no value in Homey (stays zero):

Somehow this app pops up with Audi, i thought VAG API was locked out behind paywall.
Also see the Volkswagen app is not public anymore.
Sadly VW is still going the wrong way in the automotive business. Lack of innovative cars and tech, locks out third part integration. Sets everything from their own app and other functions behind yearly payments. We pay a fee for all stuff that should be connected to their services. Wonder way people choose other brands

My car (VW Arteon) stopped syncing today. I removed the car from the app and reinstalled the app (latest 1.1.32). When I try to add my car, I get: “Couldn’t retrieve the authorization URL from WeConnect. Please check your internet connection and try again”.
Any suggestions or is this just the WeConnect servers having issues?

Usually restarting the app helps once the data stops updating.
If you removed your vehicle there might be no way to get it back in….
I tried restarting the app, restarting Homey, before I went on to uninstall the car. Then the app. Then reinstall.
Not sure what you mean by “no way to get back in”.

Somehow the App still keeps working. Depending on the day, updates come immediately, sometimes they come late. I wonder what it depends on
