[APP][Pro] Universal TUYA Zigbee Device App - test

A simple (Sonoff) smart plug should work without need for an app;
Just add it as Homey zigbee device, it’s in the top row under “Technologies”

When it’s successfully piared, you’ll see the funny message “Added as unknown device”. This just means “Homey couldn’t find an fitting app”, not “Homey has no clue what to do with this thing”.

.

How come you think it’s “bizar”? It’s a bit peculiar maybe, but Homey’s support for new(er) devices always has been (very) slow.
On top of that, few apps support each and every device out of the product catalog.

Manufacturers never seem to be in a hurry as well when it comes to adding support for 3rd party smart home stuff.

Yes this is supportes natively with zigbee protocole

Thanks @Peter_Kawa and @dlnraja for your helpful responses.

I have already tried the device as a basic Zigbee device. Whilst it works to an extent, it does not provide the full functionality that I believe the SONOFF device actually provides. It provides basic on-off and energy in kWh functionality. I may be mistaken, but I believe it should also offer other capabilities - for example power (W). If this is my error please let me know.

In any case my priority is the BSeed device - so if we can get this added, I shall be most content.

Again, this may well be my lack of understanding. I believed - in error to judge from your reaction - that the official SONOFF app was developed by SONOFF. A common device such as a smart plug I would expect to be supported early. In contrast if the SONOFF app is actually built by Homey then the delay is what I might expect.

Does son off told you why they are Bussy

Pehaps because they prioritise sonoff ihost hub

Possibly

Marvellous. Appreciate your efforts. Je vous souhaite bonne courage.

Thank you both.
To me it’s irritating, that Homey will switch to another app even if I followed your advice.

I tried to force the “Ultimate Zigbee Hub” (Dylan) and the radar sensor was added as a “Tuya Zigbee” (Johan Bendz) device…

  • A) it’s alphabetic order
  • B) it’s because it’s unsupport (by the not yet ultimate app)

At some point in the future we will know.

Yes thx m’for this feedback

did you try to disable temporarily tuya Johan? does that work?

Yes. Disable the other app is a way to force connection.

The radar device isn’t (yet) supported by “Ultimate Zigbee ”Hub”—while the experimental version of Tuya Zigbee works.

Good day, I just added a request in github for a vibration sensor (Tuya TS0210) that is added as an unrecognized device, but does not give any status back. Hope you can have a look. I also added there the device interview.

Thanks for your work, only discovered it today, but it sure looks good!

Thx i will include ot

new update but a big issue with the list of manfacturername , i must enrich it later Ultimate Zigbee Hub | Homey

Hi Dylan Good afternoon,

You’ve been working on it for a long period this time and I’m trying to install new devices in your recent app but I can’t select anything because there are all exclamation marks in the picto’s.

Best regards Peter.
