i have the same problem. Done everything and have connection from app to developer site.
still getting error code 1106. tried every possible option for hours now. does this app still work. also renewed Lot core subscription. nothing works

Yes region is set correctly and i use my email adres to login.

could it be a possibility Tuya āblockedā new users to connect with the iot.tuya.com API? Similar to like what happened to new users of the āofficialā Tuya API?
Itās a bit funny how error 1106 suddenly seems to be a very common error, donāt you think?
1106 is similar to credentials not accepted / not allowed.
Again Tuya seems to like forcing customers to stay within their kingdom.
Oddly enough Tuya Wifi still works fine as Home Assistant integration! Including a Tuya howto:

Agreed. This seems somewhat too much of a coincidence!
The fact that the HA route still works is not really a surprise. That integration is built by Tuya themselves and is a different solution than the Homey Tuya Cloud and Homey Tuya official apps.
Jurgen_Heine has updated the first post indicating that it seems Tuya has blocked this app as well. Now it just seems that Tuya is actively blocking all Homey-Tuya users
Itās a successful way to lose customers.
I wonāt be buying anymore Tuya devices.
I just bought a eurom heater, I guess Iāll return it. Itās still very difficult to avoid tuya, they have so much white labeling

True. But check the app store, or best buy guide (but keep doing your own research), to see if thereās any alternatives for the device youād like to buy.
Also, when a smart device is dead cheap, you should be wary

Ah, thanks! I thought heād add a line just to make people aware. So, weāre not sure if Tuya actually cut this cord as well or if people just ran into unforeseen issues. Or can you confirm this work around is completely disabled?

Yes, when devices are this cheap, I will expect them to last less long than more expensive devices.
However, the app and service that Tuya delivers is perfectly fine! It works great. Tuya even went through lengths to create an integration for Home Assistant, that way supporting people that donāt want to rely on the Tuya apps.
Itās just the official Tuya app where Tuya now wants money from Athom/LG. And since they seem to be reluctant to pay up, I think it is unfair to blame people that went for Tuya devices
No no, I was not referring to the build quality.
I started out with Homey, and a bag full of LSC Wifi stuff (sale from a store 
), over 4 years ago.
Except for the plugs, it works fine. But Iāve moved Tuya over to Home Assistant, which runs next to Homey (my HAmey 
).
I even have Tuya lights and sensors outside and in a shed, surviving heat and frost.

I only wanted to show how one can expect a device to be Tuya based, while in general theyāre the cheapest on the market.

In the long run if you want to continue to use Tuya devices with Homey, your setup is the best option. I am going to look into that as well. However currently I am still in luck as both the official and the community apps still work.
Determining if a device is Tuya shouldnāt be that hard, right? Theyāre all labeled as Tuya somewhere I think
Iāll check with Tuya to see if this issue is being caused on their end by blocking our users. Iāll keep you all posted!

This community app does work to some extent. Can someone confirm it is impossible to install and use this app as a new user?
Because in the end @Olegs_Pavlovs did manage to get the app running; it was just his device that is not supported.

With the proper knowledge it should be pretty straight forward to create a branch from the current code and work from that?

From what I know Jurgen is cool with transferring the app to an other dev.
And he (probably) is still willing to merge PRās and push updates to the app store.
