And another thing I just found out: when I turn of ‘restafval’ in the widget settings, it still shows the rest on October 10th, so it seems like the turn off setting doesn’t do anything
Oh, this is quite funny though… there shouldn’t be a type “RESTAFVAL”. The only known types are REST and GROF… Can you provide me an example postal code and which API you are using for your data (via PM). Then I can have a look later this week!
That is a great collection for the UK indeed. If you want you can add the one you need yourself by following this guide:
If you don’t want or can, then you can always use the ‘manual’ option, this way you can provide the rhythm of the collection and still use all the functions of the app!
@MrDutchfighter on the dashboard the widget is reloading/refreshing very often. Like multiple times an hour and at least every time the screen of mijn dashboard is turned on. All the other widgets don’t reload that often, or at least don’t show they’re reloading because they don’t grey our for a few seconds.
Is this something you can fix? It’s not necessary for a trashcan widget to reload more then once a day I think?
Hi @Arjank95, I don’t have any refresh mechanism in the widget itself. So Homey is controlling this somehow and I don’t know how I can prevent it from happening. The only time it loads is once, and that is when Homey calls the OnLoad method. And I need that OnLoad to load the stuff. So I don’t see any way on how to prevent that from happening.
Which widgets (not build by Athom themselves) load less often and have their source code publicly available? Maybe I can have a look at that.
Ah thanks for the explanation, it might be at Athoms side. Hopefully they can fix it. I only use your widget as a non-Athom widget so can’t compare it. The Athon widgets don’t refresh that often.
Now it shows the date like 18 nov or 18 november. I would be nice and easy to see the day of the week in front of the date like ‘mon 18 nov’ (or ‘ma 18 nov’ for the dutch people )
It would be helpful for those who have to look up for the date several times a day
Thanks, I hoped the Today, Tomorrow would solve that. But in the new test version I also added the day of the week to upcoming trash collection dates
Also in the new test version there is support for the first trash cleaning service. So now you can also see (in your dashboard) or get notified (via flows) when your trash container will be cleaned by a cleaning service.
Hi there, great to hear that you are loving it. With regards to the colors, they differ per region and as there are more then 200+ municipalities over different countries are connected these are the universal colors that were chosen for the widget and trash types.
@Marcel_Vellekoop I think that the "problem " of @Baddelomeus is that in the first screenshot the paper/cardboard is blue and pmd is orange and in the second screenshot paper/cardboard is orange. And pmd is blue.
I understood, but it’s exacty the opposite from the colors we are use to here in The Netherlands, so for me orange for paper is a strange color i’m not familiar with. Even our containers are blue for paper and orange for pmd. So i’m happy with the current colors
Hello, is there any chance we could get an extra bin for “garden waste”?
Could there be an option for us to put it in manual input?
Also, is it possible to add or change some icons of the trash bins? Perhaps even change the color?
I really like the manual input, because im from sweden and im still able to use the app, so maybe make some more settings like the one with icons and changing colors in manual input? Or even to change the name on the icons?
Thanks in advance!
@MrDutchfighter how does the refresh of the widget work? Today at 9:17 t still shows the PMD from yesterday as today. So the widget thinks it’s still yesterday. Has nothing to do with the option ‘show yesterday’ because I’ve turned that off. When I remove the widget or restart the dashboard it refreshes to the right date and the PMD from yesterday is gone.
Would it be possible to auto refresh the widget at 00:00 or something like that?
I’m new to the app and I’m trying to fetch data with my adres (I live in the Netherlands in ‘Cyclus’ territory.). But when I enter postal code, home number and 'source: Afvalkalender Cyclus (NL) the app just searches for the address indefinitely. Anybody has the same issue of is this even a known issue?
Hi, yes that would be a feature to embed. Haven’t come around to it yet. And there is no active refreshing mechanism in place in the app. Will add it as request to the backlog, thanks!
