I assume you mean the hardware levels? I thought about it. But I don’t know how to check the Hardware Level on my switch?
In the KASA app, device details
Found it, thanks…but the HS220 HW version is 3.26 so have no idea if this is the issue as the above discussion was on other switches that have different HW versions in the 5.x range.
Either way the official Kasa Cloud app should have found it but did not, so I also sent a note to Homey Support (3 week turnaround on their support )
Try to share debug log from the Home app, will have a look if I can do anything about it (probably not but let’s see first)
I just tried to add the HS220 again this afternoon and got a Rate Limited error.
So I tried 1 more time but did not get the error…just did not discover anything.
Diagnostic report for TP-Link Kasa Smart assuming you can access it.

I see - you are using different app, I can’t help you.
Your correct thread is : [APP] TP-Link Kasa Smart - by Athom - #21 by DirkG
Back from the holidays.
Oops…wrong link. I have been going back and forth between the 2. This is the Diagnostic report for TP-Link Kasa Lan right after I get the ECONN error for the HS220. I can add it to Homey using the IP address (will not self discover) but none of the functions work.

Thanks.
Based on your log, HS220 is refusing connection on “KASA” API UDP port 9999
Unfortunately it would require API update, seems on other platform sharing the same API, they face the same issue - HS220 dimmer HW 3.26 not discovered · Issue #344 · plasticrake/homebridge-tplink-smarthome · GitHub
…seems 3.26 is running different protocol - HS220 V3.26 difference - Smart Home Community
Well thanks for trying. I did see all the stuff about the 3.26 version but was not sure what version mine was running. I have a pair of the HS210 3-way switches that I have not installed yet. If they don’t work either I am sending them all back.
You will find the version inside the TPLINK KASA app, I believe I mentioned that already. Also if this local implementation do not work for you, you can try your luck with the Cloud integration - TP-Link Kasa Smart App for Homey | Homey - the advantage is that it’s not dependent on the firmware version, however there are other dependencies… and users were reporting rate limits errors. However that belongs already to other thread.
Any chance of support for KP400? I tried EP40, but it wasn’t recognized. I’m happy to help test it out!
Also, I am able to use KL125 (as KL130 in the app) and HS105 (as HS100 in the app). Unless I’m missing some important differences, why not include those as options so others (that might not look online) can find them?
Yes, there is always a chance.
If you are able to create all the necessary association, feel free to list them.
btw HS103 didn’t work ?
Let me know if there’s anything I can do to help with the KP400… any way to get information from it to help?
Sorry, I didn’t mean a list online, but just adding KL125 and HS105 as options when adding a new device might help others.
Not sure if I tried HS103, is it a better option? I only went with HS100 as they looked the same in an Amazon comparison chart, as they didn’t have energy monitoring. This is what I mean about having the model numbers in the New Device screen, so people like me don’t guess wrong.
The point about HS103 is that it’s also US model and close to HS105 - again US model. Unfortunately I’m not really going to add proactively all the variants and I don’t know them, even I get your point.
Anyway, try to add KP400 via test version (I don’t have this device myself, so can’t test…) - TP-Link KASA LAN | Homey
Switched to the test version and added the device. Everything is working perfectly. Thanks for your help!
I’ll switch my bulbs over to HS103 once I have the time too!
Wait a minute, bulbs? HS103 is power socket, right …
