No more crashes, but still need to reboot the app once a day.

Deco PX50 (trio) looks ok  Thanks a lot  Maybe i would change download/upload speeds to Mbits  as most of us has 100+ Mbit connection (i think  ).

Hi !

That sounds great i also downloaded the app and will test it.
Is there a posibility in the future that it will be able to start a flow when a device to a deco connect or discontect to start or stop a flow ?

That would be cool to turn on a light when i go outside as a example.

1.2.19 has been pushed into the wild. Mine has run on both my Homey’s since 2 am this morning without crashing. If an unsupported device for that api call it should be handled now. I will monitor.

So one example is x50-outdoor that seams to respond differently to the number of clients connected. I have to work that out. I’m thinking of creating a test app that would a set of test that the community could send to me and I could update the code accordingly

So that you can do it already, choose the card “… become …” choose your device and make sure it keeps its MAC address. som for a iPhone, Android you should deselect the privice feature they have to change MAC address.

Perfekt ! Which username and password do i need to login ?

I’m not following your thoughts here. In the “app” you add your deco devices either with the IP of your main unit/gateway or for your convenience just user tplinkdeco.net as the host. Password is your password you used when you set up your deco devices. Then in your home app create a flow and choose the main deco for the “when” card with the client goes online or offline.

If you use the Deco as access point, the devices below the head device will not show the connected clients to that Deco. Only with the main device i see the connected devices… Known issue?

I have seen this. The main deco show all clients but slaves only show the clients connected to that deco.

In my setup, none clients were showed up on the other 3 deco’s beside the main deco. On the main deco, i see clients. The seperate TPLink Deco app show the clients on the right way.

What decos do you use?

I tried this today with my setup of 1 main X60 and three connected X20s. It did not work as expected.

I added the IP-address of my main unit (192.x.x.1), and this was the result:

Screenshot

My main device is the X60 in the office, and it shows no data at all. Then I have X20s in the garage (“Garasje”) and living room, and they show some data, but only 1 client each. According to the Deco app on my phone there are 7 online clients on the living room device, and 2 in the garage.

Then I have another X20 in the attic. It is named “Loft”, so I can not understand why the two question marks in the name. And in addition it is offline (not powered) at the moment. But all data shows up on that device, also the IP-address of my office device.

X20 3x
Base one is X50

Top.
I have Deco m9plus and XE 75 and it works wel.

thanks for the feedback

Hi!

Tested it yesterday and it works perfect.
Also with a flow when i leave and come home :grinning:

I have deco m9 and x50.
And i used the main deco for registering online and offline and that works perfect even if the device is not connected to that deco the registation from online and offline works perfekt.

Thanks so much for making this app :+1:t2:

Works very well now :+1:t2::grinning:

Hi!
How do I add clients? The list when i click on “Clients” is empty. Me being stupid or something else?

I see you are using an X50-5G. Have you checked if you have clients connected to the capabilities screen (the second icon on the device)? It might be the same, where the X50-Outdoor is not correctly reporting clients. I know this and am actively working to figure it out. Do you have knowledge of Wireshark and Node? If so, I could send you my test program, and we could try to get the JSON response from the X50-5G.
Further, the client needs to be connected to show up in the dropdown. I’m working on a history list of clients, I’m just concerned from a memory perspective in larger networks.
