This isnt possible as this is built in the devices on board memory and not writeable
Ahh, I found a “wide” model while I went for a square model (which was my 2nd choice).
Apparently the Action shops have new stock. ( @Robin_De_Lange )
Playing with it now @ Pro 2026, @Kyle_Michiels !
JFYI, the two Pro 2019s couldn’t/wouldn’t connect (distance 2 meters, no obstacles). If you need anything, like a diag report, just give me a yell .
Nice, Will look tomorrow at our Action store!
Nice work! What fonts can we use?
One that works ![]()
In all seriousness just one. I dont see any reason atm to support more fonts
default/Default should work
I’m playjng with the square version. The function “power off” works but after a few seconds the clock function starts again. Change the clockmode to off doesn’t help. How to shutdown the display?
Oh thats interesting Ill check it out hopefully soon
I have a homey shs with 2 homey bridges. But when I want to add a device. it keeps saying that I need a homey bridge (which I have) Is it currently only working on homey pro or do I miss something?
Are you sure that you’ve selected your Homey SHS? I think you accidentally created a Homey Cloud instance. You can switch Homeys from the More tab in the mobile app.
My bad, I was in the web app on my iPad instead of the native app. Within the app it worked instantly.
Hi, I have the same problem with the repeatedly activated display after I put it off…
Now I have it’s power turn’t of ass wel with a IKEA Inspeling power plug…
It work’s but is not a nice way.
And I also like to have 2 or 3 lines with smaller font on the 32x32 (action) display.
Thanks,
Paul Kuiper
Hi Kyle,
The app works great.
EDIT:
Using text apps & display slots instead of notifications solves the issue described below;
Anyone knows the differences? I don’t get the concept of apps & slots yet ![]()
Original post
One observation, it shows “Ready” in green in between every (repeated) message.
One of the flows used:
This wasn’t the case prior to Homey firmware v13.1.0 (March 30) if I recall correctly;
this line might be related (forgive my ignorance):
On the other hand, the display seems to respond waaaaay better on commands compared to before this firmware update.
Anything I can do to supress the “Ready” messages?
(this post was in draft for a while, hence the “late” response to the firmware change)
Ready should be replaced by the clock. Do you have the clock turned off?
And you have 8 slots you can write text to.
I mean what dont you understand?
You have like 8 text screens that stay in memory unless you either delete them or update them. The device can’t hold more apps. An app here is just a text that stays in memory even if the device turns off.
Notifications are short lived only 30 seconds while apps stay alive till you delete them.
And I knew Homey was being very hard on the device cause with my PC every command worked every time… So im surprised they updated just now I was wondering if I should just rewrite the entire app.
Thanks for the swift response, Kyle.
Ah yes, it’s indeed the clock being disabled / turned off. I didn’t realise it couldd be related.
But, the “Ready” notification started to occur after aforementioned firmware update, that confused me.
So an app/slot is a message which is sent & saved on the devices memory, and runs without Homey right?

As I mostly send status updates with varying values, I just used the notification cards.
I replaced these with app cards.
That is correct! Even if Homey goes offline they stay on the device.
Perfect for like calendar stuff or trash reminders or stuff doesn’t change ever hour or so.
Im not the developer of that app
