But the ipixel led is nowhere to be found in the appstore, and ipixel color has exact same icon. Does your program support short clips ? And where can i find it ?
Im currently rewriting this entire app.
The focus will be heavily on the action released models, since I have my hands on these 2 models and can tweak it perfectly for their firmware.
The main new features will be images/icons and fonts so you can pretty much have an la metric/ulanzi clock experience which I think is really cool.
It won’t use the onboard memory anymore meaning all apps will live inside of the Homey app and theoratically you can have up to 1000 apps running. Ive been extensively testing the behaviour with my PC so I know the software works properly.
More info very soon.
Version 4.0.1 is now available in Test. This is a complete rebuild of iPixel LED rather than a small update to v3.
The biggest change is that the display’s fixed hardware slots no longer determine how many apps you can create. Homey now maintains a named software carousel and controls playback itself. You can create, update, and delete an effectively unlimited collection of text, image, and icon-plus-text apps from Flows.
Other highlights:
- support tested on both 64×16 and 32×32 displays;
- rebuilt Bluetooth discovery, connection recovery, and scheduling;
- normal, important, and sticky notifications, including a dismiss Flow card;
- configurable clock modes, colors, fonts, speeds, and horizontal/vertical square layouts;
- smooth one-pixel text animation in addition to the default animation style;
- user-uploaded PNG icons and TTF/OTF fonts;
- LaMetric icon search, preview, and import from the settings page;
- virtual 64×16 and 32×32 screens plus a live dashboard widget;
- responsive layouts that scale and position uploaded square icons for the connected display.
The two long-standing clock requests from this thread are included: you can change the clock color and choose when the clock is shown. A seconds display is deliberately not part of this release because writing a new clock frame every second would keep the Bluetooth link unnecessarily busy and interfere with other content.
Existing v3 settings are migrated where possible, but because the scheduler is completely new, please check your important Flows after updating. The stable v3 release remains untouched while v4 is in Test.
But please be aware this will break most of your existing iPixel Led Flows.

For useful bug reports, please mention your display resolution/model, the Flow card and animation used, and what you saw. Reports from display sizes other than 64×16 and 32×32 would be especially helpful.
Thank you again to everyone who tested the old app and shared ideas. This version exists because of that feedback.

I take this comment very seriously,
I just grabbed my own 32 by 32 screen.
And installed the app from the homey app store.
When searching for some reason it showed up as < unkown > but that was the device.
So it’s definitely working please move the device either closer to your Homey and power cycle the device.
Also make sure your phone isnt connected towards it
you can now have images on the screen, so this should work for your use case now ![]()
Hello!,
Unfortunately, I am still experiencing connection issues even after the last update.
the same problem as @Bkinsbergen
After restarting homey I’m able to add the display again.
Restart your Homey?
I cant seem to replicate it on my 2024 Homey Pro.
Maybe bluetooth just needs a restart.
If that doesnt work completely removed the app and install it fresh, reboot Homey and try again
@Kyle_Michiels i found a few bugs in your new app. But I’m very glad to see the app is better working than before, so thanks for the new app.
I’m not able to remove images when added to my library. And it’s not possible to choose an animated icon (from lametric) in the then flowcard (using advanced flows) after adding the animated icon to the library.
And is there by any chance an option to show the clock static on the screen in stead of from left to right?
Thanks for your amazing work so far!
There is a specific clock style for the 32 by 32 display try to use that card?
And you correct removing stuff from the library is something I forgot.
And indeed animated images from la metric are not yet supported since I have to find a clever way to blend it with the text. Since the icon + scrolling text is a GIF in itself.
So that will come but I have to think of a proper way to fix/make that.
What is the name of the card for the clock I have to use and the option? And can I use the static clock combined with text apps?
