Make sure port 554 is open in you Synology Firewall :slight_smile:

It doesn’t work for me. it says “authentification failed”. If i click on “Try to repair”, select my Synology and then click Save, same thing. An error message saying Authentification failed, please repair Your Surveillance” Station”. The port 554 is open on my Synology Firewall.

When I’m on our home WiFi I’ve got sound but no picture. When I’m on 5G the player fails to stream even the sound. Port 554 is open in Synology Firewall.

@Joey_Reynecke not sure I can do anything about that :stuck_out_tongue:
Only thing the app does is expose the stream from Synology to homey there’s nothing in between

And of course 5G doesn’t work it doesn’t have access to your local network right

@Patrick_Spadrille I didn’t see any issues for the authentication.
Can you restart the app and send a new report?

After updating this app i had to fill in all the credentials off the app.
Even if the app should remember the credentials.

After filling out the name, password, portnumber and ip adres off the Synology it worked again.

I just removed the camera and then add the camera again. Now it works. :grinning_face::+1:

But if I understand correctly, it won’t work when I’m away from home anyway?

@Joey_Reynecke I have to check that
In theory it should work because you remotely connect to your homey which does have acces to the local network
But not sure if that’s the case

I have to say that I don’t l know the ins and outs of this app
Didn’t create it and this was my first real update to this app

So not sure how the authentication works and where you see the error
If you can give me a bit more info I might be able to help

I used for my Synology his local ip adres and for the port i used voor now 5000. I have used http.
And of course a username and password with acces to the Synology.
Now this works for me i will change setting to another port in my router.
And change it to https

Yes but how did you find a way to enter them again in the app? I don’t find a way for the app to ask me for credentials.
