I had the same issue, I solved my issue by powering off the sure flap hub for 20 minutes, also just to note, I have noticed with my flap, if the battery gets to 70% or less it fails everytime so I have set up alerts to remind me to replace the battery at 75%. see if that helps
Thank you for the advice. I was hopeful that this would work. Took te batteries out for 30 minutes. After I put them back in I tested my flows. But unfortunately still not working. Still getting “Requests failed with status code 401”. The problem does not occur when I use the Sure Petcare app on my iPhone. Then I have no problem to change the status (open, closed, keep inside, keep outside)..Hope a real solution will come soon.
Hi, I just bought the hub and connected the Pet door and a Petfeeder. Pet door triggers from my cats work fine and the weight change from the Petfeeder also, but the 2 cards from pet has eaten don’t trigger.
I have the same issue… loging in and out didn’t help and de- and reinstalling the app neither… Is there anything else I could do to have it back working? It’s such a pity as the flows I wrote were so helpful, and now …
…here are some more information about my “Request failed with status code 401” error:
I’m running the Sure Petcare App since a long time in Homey Pro and have it successfully connected to many flows. All of a sudden, the catflap is not anymore reachable via homey and I get the a.m. error.
Firmware version of petcare hub is: 239.400
Firmware version of catflap is: 335.422
In the Sure Petcare App opn homey I can successfully log in and out to my petcare account. However, when trying to add the flap as a device and I have to login again, the a.m. error appears.
Any idea why that happens and how to fix it? Thanks for all your help, Thomas
ok, I’ve contacted Petcare Support on this matter and that is their answer:
While we use an industry standard communication method, we do not use the same protocol of communication, mainly because our products are battery powered and therefore, we cannot work the same way and still maintain a reasonable battery life.
We are currently in the process of updating our products range and services, and we feel that in the future we may have an open API, but currently this is not something we can offer to you or support.
Please do keep an eye on our website and social media feeds for any further updates on open API and other product integration.
Does that mean we can’t use it in homey pro now? It’s such a pity, since it worked flawlessly until a couple of days ago. @Koktail: Am I missing something here or is this in fact a problem all users of your faboulous app have?
Thank you so much! I’m really missing your app, since it’s so convenient to use and I have a lot of flows I use with it (such as “keep cats inside at sunset” or “don’t let them out when it’s raining”)
