My ZBMINIL2 working just fine here.
Suspected interference with 2.4G wifi?
On HP2023 too?
But as said, it’s a bug that Homey is showing devices switching from being a router to being an end device. That’s not something that can be caused by interference.
HP23, yes.
Oh my god I have the same issue! After adding the device, it works correctly, and when I click on the icon, the relay switches. However, after some time (1-2 days), it stops responding. It doesn’t show any errors, but when I click on the icon, the relay remains in its original state. I have Homey Pro 2018 and am using a pro application. That’s really frustrating.
So far so good it seems to be working after making sure they have router devices near and doing repair on the ZBMINIL2s. But I wouldn’t hold my breath just yet as it worked for some time before as well until they “hung”. I did google some and read the HA posts as well. Saw something about the ZBMINIL2 having issues with firmware version 1.0.10. There is a 1.0.14 version available if I remember correctly, but currently I don’t know how to flash the ZBMINIL2s.
Any ideas how one could trace/trouble shoot where the issue is would be appreciated. I was hoping the crash log would give some indications, but I guess not?
Will spend some more time on this if/when it comes back. One thing I have noticed is that at first when added the devices switch on/off immediately and after some time they started “slowing down” it can take 20s to switch and then finally they stopped reacting completely. This is what was described as well in relation to the firmware version if I remember correctly.
You either need the Sonoff bridge, or zigbee2mqtt or ZHA (Home Assistant), which provide OTA updates for Sonoff devices.
Homey is notoriously silent when it comes to debugging/tracing.
Thanks Robert,
I think saw that this is what was needed but didn’t have time to investigate.
I do suspect the firmware of the ZBMINIL2 but was thinking it would be nice to be able to pin it down before one spends time on it. Was thinking there has to be a way to trace somehow but same thing here I haven’t had time to spend on it. I guess it seems unlikely I’ll find anything based on your comment… I’ll persist on this, but so far they’ve been working since they are routed rather then directly connected. Maybe that is what is needed? It is a nice little device at a good price though so I’d like them to work well and when then they do I’ll probably buy some more.
It could be, but bear in mind that Zigbee meshes are (somewhat) dynamic, and that a device is being routed through another instead of directly connected may change automatically depending on things like interference or changes to the Zigbee network.
[Yes you’re right, I will monitor to see what happens. If I am lucky this will perform ok. Otherwise I have a way forward. Thinks for your support!!
Hi, please what did you do exactly? I am not sure if I understood how to route zbmini L2.
Hi Thomas,
I took 3 of my ZIGBEE wall switches (which should have router as device type in the settings) and put them
in an outlet near my ZBMINIL2s. I have something like 2-3m between the wall switches and the 4 devices.
I already had 433MHz switches from before so I just exchanged them for the new switches.
I am not saying that this fixes the problem, but so far so good. I do have my doubts about the long term stability.
We will see how it goes…
Otherwise I think they need to have the new firmware that saw mentioned as a solution when googling on “hanging
zbminil2” I think. Can’t recall exactly where I saw it.
Problem is that I don’t have a Sonoff gateway nor do I have access to a ZHA so I need to figure out something to get that fixed.
I might contact the dealer and see if they can fix something as well, butI have not had time to do that yet.
Today I tried to pair a Sonoff device using the Sonoff app. Homey recognized it ss a unknown Zigbee device. Installing, repairing zigbee devices is still a mess with Homey pro 23
It’s more likely that it’s just not supported by the Sonoff app.
Sorry Robert, the device is on the list of the Sonoff app
I’m sorry to say, but especially for cheap Zigbee devices you cannot trust the list of images, or even the model name. These devices often change internally in such a way that Homey will not recognise them and, as such, they are marked as unknown Zigbee devices
This isn’t related to HP2023 but with the way Homey recognises devices and assigns them to an app.
Added to next release, let me know how it works.
Hi @Tommy_Hill and @Thomas_Buran.
I’v been looking into the diagnostic reports I have received and from what I can see the device is not available to Homey, eg. no connection. No idea why this happens and there is nothing in the logs that tell. The reports started showing this about a month ago.
There is sadly nothing I can do in the app to mitigate this problem as the parts of the Homey code that actually talk to devices is all Athom’s code. There are several thousands of ZBMINIL2’s installed using this app but only a handful of reports, so hopefully this is not a general issue.
Hi Johan,
Any update regarding Sonoff ZB app for Homey bridge?
Thanks!
Hi,
I would like to buy S26R2ZB smart plug. It seems it is not supported by the app. Is it correct? Could you add it please?
Hello. My first post her. Just bought myself some Sonoff Zigbee Temp/Humidity-sensors to my home. One of these sensors is the SNZB-02D, the others are without display, SNZB-02. I have included the devices in my network, Homey Pro early 2023 and 3 IKEA signal extenders, without a problem and temperature and humidity shows up as expected although the update frequency is a little slow and the temperature is -0,5 degrees Celcius too low compared to my reference temperature. Therfore I have checked the SNZB-02D advanced settings and to my surprise there are options to change absolute temperature offset as well as update frequency. So i changed these values to my preferences, the temp offset I changed to +0,5 degrees, saved the settings, restarted app and at next report I can see that the temperature is corrected with 0,5 degrees on my app, BUT…
on the SNZB-02D display the offset correction is not shown, always remains 0,5 degrees below the reported temperature (still same temp as before changing offset).
So now my question: is it possible to have the displayed temperature (on LCD) show the corrected temperatur or is it only possible to have it reported to my app? Checking settings in Developer Tools, I can see that my advanced setting are updated correctly. Is it possible that the temperature sensor chip is NOT updated with the offset, only the reported temperature in the app is affected and shown locally on Homey Pro?
Also, changing update frequency in advanced settings really does not significantly show any differences, same lag in transmitting updated temperature to Homey and app. Humidity update seems to be a lot faster.
Thanks for all your help with these problems.
