Purpose The difference of this app and the already existing solar panels app is that this app reads the data directly from the inverter. The solaredge api and others are mostly limited to 300 calls/ day, so you get only updates every 10-15 minutes. The modbus app receives data every few seconds. …

Yesss, everything is there!!! Thank you very much for your support. How can I sent some coins for beer, coffee or more valium for rookie questions? I set the storage control to disabled, I think that is ok. Wouldn’t it make sense to add these values also to the inverter-only app? …

nice. enjoy. no need to disable because you don’t have it. I did not add it to normal because it is optional plus it has some overhead, also did not want to make too many solaredge device types because that also confuses people. Plus battery requires meters but will detect if you have a batt or no…

@Edwin_Biemond I tried to connect my Huawei inverter. This works, but of course the data is not displayed. How difficult would it be to program that? The Huawei no longer works because the access was changed. Therefore I would like to use TCP

I guess, it will be not that complicated, already support 4 different brands. Do you have some docs about the modbus registers or some Home assistant modbus impl. plus would be nice if you can setup a vpn and share your inverter for testing.

Thanks for the quick answer. This is what I had with HA: [image] GitHub - wlcrs/huawei_solar: Home Assistant integration for Huawei Solar... Home Assistant integration for Huawei Solar inverters via Modbus - wlcrs/huawei_solar Modbus-register: https://www.g…

Ok, please send me a Message wenn we can start.

Hi, Is it possible to decrease time before getting a new modbus updates from Growatt inverters or is this a set time from the inverter sw? Want if possible less than each 20sec when reading locally. Can confirm that modbus readout worked for a MOD 10KTL3-X inverter also

we can tweak it a but when you have a plain inverter. When you have meters and a battery probably not. also depends on your modbus device, maybe wifi has more overhead than a cable. Everything is now a safe limit. can try to make it a setting on the device, but don’t expect 2 seconds or so. plain…

Hi, I was maybe mostly curious about where the limitation was. I would really like a setting to adjust polling time just to test. With maybe a warning text like you wrote. I was hoping to get the measurements a bit more in “sync” with the iotawatt and Shelly devices I have. And still learning ab…
