[APP][Pro] Slide - Automate your curtains

Not here, sorry. I have my Slide local as well (don’t know if the cloud connection is already gone anyway), and it gets it’s fixed IP from a DHCP-server as well.
The curtains always respond quickly and status is updated correctly.
How’s the wifi-signal at your Slide?

Wifi signal is very good (both Slides and the Homey Pro both are placed < 5 m from the wifi router). When everything works, the slides respond immediately to homey, and status is constantly updated. However, if they stop responing, they still respond to the slide ios app with the local api connection. Really seems like a glitch somewhere in homey…
it’s been 48 hours since the last failure, fingers crossed…

Hi allen, ik kom ergens niet uit.

Mijn slide heeft altijd met homey gewerkt “online” en volgens mij is de firmware versie 2.02 nu?

Ik heb :

  • de slide gereset en op local gezet. Slide app local verbonden, IP klopt. Alles werkt prima en app zegt onderaan “version is undefined”. Volgens de firmware sheet (via Reddit) zit ik op versie 2.0.0-1683059251
  • de slide toevoegen aan homey, homey slide app geinstalleerd, slide local gevonden, flow in gesteld. Echter geen actie. Kan slide niet bedienen en flows doen ook niets. Krijg geen foutmeldingen? Netwerk en connecties zijn allemaal top (Unify) en ik heb ook al gekeken in Homey DEV, kan niets geks vinden?

Ik heb een abbo genomen voor online maar heb deze op zich niet nodig. Tenzij het mogelijk is om slide + homey + google samen te draaien?

Heb iets soortgelijks. De Slide app werkt op local. Echter als ik Slide in Homey will toevoegen krijg ik een timeout. Slide moet gewoon lokaal kunnen werken op Homey toch?

Since 2 days none of my slides are working with this app anymore. Anyone else that has the same issue?

When testing a flow with Slide devices in it, I get the error: Unauthorized. Nothing more. Anyone know how to fix this?

Hoi, hier hetzelfde probleem met de slides. In de Slide app op de telefoon werkt alles netjes. Toevoegen van de slide in Homey lukt niet. De slide wordt niet gevonden. Heb al een vast IP adres aan de slide gegeven. Slide gereset, app ge-updated zonder resultaat. Heeft iemand een oplossing?

Same issue here. Slide no longer reacting on card actions in my flows. Running HP23 with latest version en latest version of Homey app. I can PING my slides on its fixed IP address. Any suggestions?

Here it still works I have 4 Slides in Local API mode.
Did you switch to Local API?

Hi!

I was running into the same issue. For me the solution was as following:

  • Make sure the slide is running in local mode, which you can do by quickly double pressing the little button on the bottom of you slide, once the light blinks 5 time quickly, it is in local mode. If it blinks twice slowly, it is in cloud mode, which you do want in this case. You can press the button with a paperclip or similar thin device. Every time you double pressed the button, the slide reboots so please wait for about 10-20 seconds after you pressed it.
  • In my case I previously added the slide in Cloud-Mode in the Homey app. In the slide app in Homey you can add two devices, local and cloud. You can try to add a new Slide device, and this time select “local Slide”. Then follow the instructions (the installation process also describes the first point in my reply, on how to make sure the slide is in local mode).

I hope this helps. It could also be (not sure if that is an issue with Homey) that you are running an older version of the Slide firmware. There is a topic on Reddit, were Kay (Developer and previous owner of Slide) is still trying to help people to make use of their Slide. You can find the thread here: Reddit - Dive into anything

Hi Michel_L for your suggestion. Just executed all steps. My Slide is in Local mode (5 blinks). I can add it in Homey as a new local device. It auto detects my Slide (the MAC address is the same as I see in my router). However it does not respond to any commands from Homey.

I used another phone and installed the Slide App (Android). I followed every step and added my slide. From the Slide App it works fine. So I have a working Slide. I can also PING the Slide. But it don’t work from Homey. I don’t know how the check the firmware version. I just put my Slide in Cloud mode. Hope they will update within 24 hours. To be continued

Are you sure you are trying to send commands through the newly added device in Homey? The old device still doesn’t work. Also older flows might still be connected to the old Slide, so for all flows using the old slide, you need to replace the cards there as well.

I started with deleting the Slide app. This resulted in deleting all related devices and cards in my flows. I created a new temporary flow with a virtual switch which triggers Slide to close or to open. So a very simple flow. I disabled my old flows and then started my tests. I will check the IIM website. Thanks for the suggestions

Issue with Slide and Homey app has been fixed. I put my slide >24 hours in cloud mode and did nothing. Today I put it back to local API. And it works now with my test script. Hope it will be stable now as I really like the Slide product. Thanks for all suggestions

Hi Jan, did you already have a fix? I have the the exact same issues as you have.

No, I don’t have a solution for this problem yet. The curtains open and close automatically according to the program in the Slide itself. But I also want to automate this via Homey.
