I made a Homey app for the old SG LEDDim dimmers, the ones that show up as @NDxxxx in Bluetooth.
Homey connects directly to the dimmers, so no SG gateway is needed.
It doesn’t work with SG Smart 3.0. That’s a different system.
You can add the dimmers one by one, or add a group from the SG app and control them together.
If it doesn’t work, try 1234 as the network passphrase in the device settings. That seems to be the one used in most installations.
This is unofficial and has nothing to do with SG. A lot of the protocol work comes from nkaminski, fromm1990, einaros and erlwes.
Code and issues:
2.0.9: Group device fixed
2.0.10: New icon and app image
2.1.0: Keep dimmers connected
2.4.0: Faster status, signal per dimmer, better pairing
2.4.1: Fixed a bug that could stop dimmers responding, warning on wrong password
This version can add the later generations of LEDDim Smart (also 2-pole, TW and Master), and LEDDim Smart Pill (also Micro, TW and ON-OFF). I don’t have any of these myself, so they have never been tried with Homey. If you have one, I’d be very glad if you could give it a go.
Turn on “Detailed logging” under “Troubleshooting” in the app settings, close the SG app on your phone, and add the device. Try it from Homey for a bit.
Then copy the log (“Show log”, “Copy”) and send it to me as a private message, as it’s long. A few words on what you tried and how it went is enough.
If the search doesn’t find your device, try again, or move Homey closer while you add it. If Network Isolation is on in the SG mobile app, SG LEDDim can’t reach your devices.
First generation dimmers work as before. SG Smart 3.0 is not supported yet.
