The Sensibo app for Homey only sets the target temperature and modes to the Sensibo Sky. So your Sensibo Sky should still be using the room sensor, if you have set it as the primary sensor in the mobile app for Sensibo.
Hej Tapio,
Thanks for your reply. Intuitively it should work that way, I agree with you, but my experience says otherwise; besides, this issue has been addressed and resolved in HomeAssistant, which is further evidence that it indeed needs addressing.
Looking closer at the fix in HomeAssistant, here is a link to the issue (feature request), describing the exact same problem Iâm having. Additionally, here is the pull request where the issue is resolved. Looking at the commits, we get a few clues (see âmainMeasurementsSensorâ specifically, which appears to represent whichever sensor is selected as main/primary in Sensibo):
Now, the file above (/homeassistant/components/sensibo/coordinator.py) has been changed since the commit above, and I havenât familiarized myself with the Sensibo API, but hopefully, the above clues can help point you in the right direction. Additionally, for what itâs worth, it seems HomeAssistant utilizes this package for communicating with the Sensibo API.
Please let me know if I can be of any more service!
Thank you for your clarification @Victor_Nedstrom.
There is a logical difference beween the implemenation of Sensibo App for Homey and HomeAssistant.
In Homey the room sensor is added to Homey as a separate device and readings from the device can be used independantly from those of the Sensibo Sky. So you would include both devices into Homey.
From your above HA sample, it seems that the integration will take care of using the values from the room sensor or Sky depending which ever is set as the main sensor.
Now, if I make the same logic to the Home app, it will be a breaking change for the 6000 other users who are expecting them to report the independent device information.
So if you need to use the values from the room sensor for your automations in Homey, then use them directly instead of the values from your Sensibo Sky.
I would like to avoid making such a breaking change, unless there is a common need from more users.
Hej again Tapio,
Thanks for taking the time to explain the difference!
Although I would argue the design decision is a bit counter-intuitive and personally would have preferred the more intuitive one used in HomeAssistant or Tibber, I understand and respect the commitment and responsibility you have towards existing users.
I will start (re-)exploring your app and see if I can build flows to satisfy my needs.
Over and out!
Hello,
I need your help. I have 6 sensibo air pro.
I can control everything Fan level, swing, climate react, thermostat mode.
But I canât set or change or Target temperature. and the current temp is wrong
6 of my device said current temp is 79 and target temp is 86.
I change the target temps to 62 but it didnât do anything and about 1 minuites it went back to 86.
Please help thank you
I found the problem.
in sensible app I use Fahrenheit also in homey pro I use Fahrenheit.
when I switch sensible app to Celsius in homey pro still in Fahrenheit
now I see the right temp and I can change the temps in homey pro.
I google around seem like homey auto change from Celsius to Fahrenheit.
cound someone please help me sync it up.
I would like to use bouth Fahrenheit in bought app
Thank you
Just type in any name you like for âAPI key nameâ and click âAdd API Keyâ.
Just installed
Sensibo app. (iOS) to my Sky. Works fine except that it crashes when attempting to open Settings.
Gets this âSomething went wrongâ-screen:
âSettings opened ok once but normally this freeze screen appears. Hitting retry button hangs homey app with âhourglassâ until timeout. Restarted Sensibo app & Homey Pro with no effect.
In Homey web app Settings opens ok.
â
What version of Homey mobile app do you have?
I can not reproduce this issue, works fine on iPad and iPhone.
If you could do this:
- Restart Sensibo app in Homey
- Try to access Settings and if it still happens
- Send diagnostics report from Apps â Sensibo â settings (the gear icon). Add your forum name to the report description.
The issue however may be something with Homey mobile app and not the Sensibo app.
Thanks for answering!
Sent diagnose report, I think.
Mobile app version 8.4.1.1.1548
I belived the probles is the Sensibo temps card
I did not get notification or my AC did not turn off when themps become less than I set
Thank you
If the flow card ***The temperature changesâ works with the logic card, then there may be something wrong with the other two cards (âbecomes greater/lessâ). However, I canât imagine this is the case in general.
According to the SDK documentation, the current temperature in the device card should indeed be displayed with one decimal:

(Source)
So my suggestion is also to contact the app developer.
Reports received, the logs do not show anything why it would fail. Will need to keep an eye on this. Seems there is more apps having similar issues, suggesting tha the problem is with then Homey mobile app.
Thanks!
While the web-app does the trick, itâs no emergency.
Best Regards
Jan
Thanks @DirkG, and you are right the Target Temperature and Measured Temperatures are the standard capabilities as they are defined in Homey.
Only override is for the Target Temperature that the step for changing the value is every 1 degree, like it is on the Sensibo mobile app.
Both are showing correct with one decimal, then again in Europe we use centigrades. Homey also internally uses centigrade for all calculations only converts the value to fahrenheit for presentation in the UI.
I am now testing also the flow cards to verify your situation:
but since those are the ones provided by Homey as standard for thermostats having measure_temperature capability, there is not much I can do to change that. However if we do find a bug, we can report it to Athom and hope for the best.
It seems to be a thermostat device_class issue with the mobile app; not sure if it is/was related to specific apps.
For Android OS it seems to be fixed with (beta) app v9.0.0
And looks like fixed for iOS also in 9.0.0. So as suspected a problem with mobile app when Homey is 12.2.0
Hello!
Are the sensibo SKY also working with homey pro 23?
just because on homey apps - sensibo: there is only the sensibo pro visible
thanks!
As it reads in the app description in the app store page: âFor Sensibo Sky, Sensibo Air, Sensibo Pure and Sensibo Room Sensors.â This is also stated in the first post of this topic in support devices.
All Sensibos are connected as one device type Sensibo
